500 foot trail forms a tee intersection with the 200 foot trail. To get to the treasure you go on the 500, turn right on the 200, then go off trail....

Elevation (Mountain Climber definition) : "we reached within 1000 feet of the Everest summit" means you were on Everest, not the top of K2...

Duplicate chest, maybe there was a duplicate treasure they never checked for before when they weighed it. Probably just removed the treasure and reweighed....

Metal inserts instead of wood could explain the weight difference. I get an average thickness of about 0.14 inches for a 20 lb Indulgence. Add some ~0.15"...

If the DIA is basing the age of Indulgence on a couple of not so great photos and similarity to theirs, I'm not sure they are credible, nor does it trump...Last edited by CRM114; 02-02-2019, 03:01 PM.
