  • This book is quite delightful from what I've seen so far.

    Sometimes children's books are not just for the kids. Robert Lewis Stevenson had great magic to his tales. Something about leeries too, you know the ones that bring the helping light.. There was a bright and not so leery wild child named Lee. A princess or at least that's what her father preferred to call her out of a love once lost. Upon his passing a cool headed cat came along. His name was Felix, his friend is a marten, and is joined by a tailor. They're all lost in forrest by the garden's gate.

                • Halt!, all of us have been new to this land at one time...
                  "I was so weary that I had twice to make a halt and set down my bundles in the hundred yards or so between the pier and the railway station, so that I was quite wet by the time that I got under cover."

                        • Reckon sometimes the truth is hard to fathom.
                          So we play along until the truth bites..
                          Reminds me of a couple of things~

                          We built a ship upon the stairs
                          All made of the back-bedroom chairs,
                          And filled it full of sofa pillows
                          To go a-sailing on the billows.

                          We took a saw and several nails,
                          And water in the nursery pails;
                          And Tom said, “Let us also take
                          An apple and a slice of cake;”—
                          Which was enough for Tom and me
                          To go a-sailing on, till tea.

                          We sailed along for days and days,
                          And had the very best of plays;
                          But Tom fell out and hurt his knee,
                          So there was no one left but me.

                              You know him too?
                              All love to be out by the light of the moon.
                              Don't forget WWWH, but what about TTTA and the cat?

                              https://youtu.be/mQR0bXO_yI8

                              The moon has a face like the clock in the hall;
                              She shines on thieves on the garden wall,
                              On streets and fields and harbour quays,
                              And birdies asleep in the forks of the trees.

                              The squalling cat and the squeaking mouse,
                              The howling dog by the door of the house,
                              The bat that lies in bed at noon,
                              All love to be out by the light of the moon.

                              But all of the things that belong to the day
                              Cuddle to sleep to be out of her way;
                              And flowers and children close their eyes
                              Till up in the morning the sun shall arise.
