Two questions. Why can't you choose to skip those that you could care less about? Have you ever considered the slight probabilty that someone that posts on this entertainment form has presented the answers whether you agree with them or not?

TTOTC propelled a lot of people to declare themselves judges but very few ever listened to the criteria that f set forth for being a judge. The Chase has proven that humans have not advanced much in the areas of simple instructions.

I can answer, I get more complaints from many about threads being derailed due to repetitive posts that have NOTHInG to do with the OP. It is irritating at best, intentional or not, to derail a variety of topics.

to be fair to all users, if someone wants to talk about themselves or their solves, they can create a thread. I understand that is frustrating since oftentimes those don’t’ get enough responses so force the narrative on topics not related since they get more traction on more popular threads. But the traction is discord and frustration, and not what we do here.

How Many Trees on Earth? There are an estimated 3.04 trillion trees on the planet. According to research published in the journal Nature, this is the case.

Whoa....the instinct of Salmon. Whoa....well, IMO....Forrest uses the word "blaze" in the poem, but it can denote....or connote different things.....at different times....depending on context. IMO....this is what makes Forrest "slippery," kind of like a fish..... We need to cut through his subterfuge so we can get a good grip....and not leave empty handed with only a fish story of the big one that got away.....and we're doing that too....IMO....

The trees know the value of the Salmon....and the owl does too. It is the Salmon that feed the trees.....and the owls too...

It's too late for that, kpro. I said as much in another thread. I have the measurements. If your "someone" comes up with something significantly different than what I've already provided, I'm ready to call them out, too. Not that it matters, because that won't change the orientation of the site -- the other fatal flaw in this argument.

And the only reason it got to this level of disproof in the first place is because so many willingly ignored a blindingly obvious truth: If there was a way to close that crack up it would be a patented process used by log home builders across the country. Shoulda never come to this. Give it up.

I guess I didn’t realize there was an arguement, I skimmed some of the thread and saw bavettas request about the measurement of the log circumference. That was all I was saying, Honestly I didn’t read your post part, so not sure what you are even referring to. I assume the log is not the log from jacks pics or photoshopped or whatever. I agree, I give up on even discussing that nonsense. So in short we agree. And my offer stands to Bavetta.

Hi Gunrunner : I can toss in one minor correction that only makes your scale argument stronger.

In the above picture the top of chest 2 is on the same plane (within 1") as the bottom of your shoe -- the chest is on the ground so the lid is 5" off the ground and your shoe is on (what's left of) a 6" log on the ground.
The top of the chest would actually be 6" above the ground, not 5". The interior of the chest is 5" deep, but the exterior dimensions are approximately 10" x 10" x 6". So in that case, there actually is no 1" height difference between the bottom of a shoe standing on a 6" diameter log, and the top of a 6" tall chest sitting on the ground.

Thanks, Zap. That's good to know. 10" x 10" x 5" is just something I've had stuck in my head so long I don't even know where it came from.

For measuring or mapping any area, place a measurement device (i.e. ruler) in the center and use it as reference for measurement In the photograph taken, the measurement in the center is more accurate and the further away from the center of said picture, measurement tends to get distorted.

In the old days before computers, math formulas were used. Today, computers are used. for much larger areas.

For larger areas on the ground, you can use a measure tape. Also the measurement of a known object in the picture can sometimes be used as a reference.

A similar method is used by crime scene analyst.

This is very informative. Your site is largely a collection of folks who have low levels of communication skills who get "upset" at the slightest difference of opinion.

It's unfortunate that TTOTC attracted so many that lack the ability to listen, debate, comprehend, disagree, move on, ask questions or stimulate thought itself. Out of all the sites on the www, this site has attracted more intellectually incapable humans than all others. As long as you keep driving the short bus and opening the door to invite them in, you will continue to get those folks who can't function in life and post junk on here.

Kpro, you would be doing yourself and everyone else a favor if you offered mental health services because the majority on here aren't functioning at an average level. It's sad, but that is what you have attracted over the years.
