Thanks for the great video, Cynthia. Beautiful scenery, and It's wonderful to hear Forrest's voice again.

Ok next step is to get dal to share the private conversation. Where Forrest tells him about the second poem and Dal asked for the words. Then forrest tells him he would not give him the words but he would know it came from forrest. Dal wanted the exact words of the poem to verify, but fenn basically said just ask the finder about the second poem in the tc, if he or she doesn’t know about it, they are not the original finder or something is off if they can’t produce the poem. Dal shared this story with several searchers, but if he came out with the details publicly, it sure would resolve the misinterpretation some are making at this point. Man, forrest did think of everything. Thanks forrest and dal and cynthia!

So if f had passed and you found the chest would you have to prove to Dal or anyone else that you had it? What value would there be in. Over time it has become evident that even if you tell Searchers it has been found, many will continue searching and searching in places f said not to.

We have the benefit now of knowing that if presented with that scenario,.whoever found it should tuck it under the bed for about 10 years and never tell a soul.

My followup questions are, why does a second poem even matter?¿ Why are searchers so reluctant to find the solution and hiding place? Are they truly interested in the Chase more than ever knowing the answers?

The thing that gets me is Dal is a searcher and like everyone else I'm sure was confident of his solve and ability in finding the thing yet Forrest talks to him about when someone, some anonymous Joe or Jane from who knows where finds it. In the back of his mind he had to be like everyone on this forum and be like, is Forrest talking about me when I find it? But Forrest talks in a way that it is someone, anyone, and not dal. That had to have been weird for dal, knowing all the time and resources he had spent looking to hear Forrest talk about when 'someone' finds it (and it won't be you).

By the way that was interesting to see that stretch of road north of Mesquite through the Virgin gorge. I've driven that hundreds of times.

F told Dal several times that he didn't have imagination to find the chest.

Contrast the 2019 interview with Forrest Fenn and Dal Neitzel to the October 22, 2013 interview with Fenn, Douglas Preston, and Michael McGarrity.
From the 2013 interview, a question from an audience member to Fenn: "Assuming you're still alive and compos mentis, will you know if the treasure is found?"
Fenn: "The kind of guy that's gonna find that treasure chest can't keep it quiet. There's no way to know. Somebody can find the treasure chest, and everybody goes searching for the next thousand years. I can't say positively that I will know when somebody finds it. I think I will."
In the 2013 interview, Fenn appears to be enjoying himself immensely. The tone of the 2019 interview is quite different. Six years of the chase really seemed to have taken its toll on Fenn.

How soon some forget Forrest told Kpro they could have their wedding there if it was found before they got married. There are other reasons people want to take away everything f did with TTOTC. Some seem to be using selective memory to smooth their way.
