None of these have anything to give out, that is why, because none of them know the solution to the poem which is still out there to be solved. The stick which Jack said must have fallen in there is a total lie, if true then how come it has the letters T I I placed on it? These letters add up to 38 which is the sum total of the word ALPHA and below it is the KEY which adds up to the sum total of the word OMEGA.
If Forrest had ever breathed a word a spoken word about the rainbow then everyone would have been all over this like a rash, however a long time seeker of the solution mentions it and provides information to back it up and it is totally ignored. No one as far as I know has followed up on this in any depth, but I have.
The reason for ALPHA and OMEGA can be proved in the Zodiac Wheel.
The Alpha and Omega phrase from the Bible book of REVELATION provides the way to read it. We are looking for Forrest's SECRET where? REVELATION means to reveal something that was SECRET.
Forrest even mentions his secret again when he says: "Two can keep a SECRET if one of them is dead.Comment

starwheel without using chest photos and quotes from Forrest's mouth or quotes from TTOTC, where in the poem does it instruct us to use your methodology? I had always hoped that we would arrive at the solution using something like what you describe but IMO the poem should tell us the method to use as well as provide answers. Where is the indicator in the poem? I would however use his quotes, words from TTOTC etc. as confirmers, as you are doing but using them first, as a primary source, leaves a big window open for confirmation bias.Comment

Goldilocks Immediately prior to the poem he puts the word RAINBOW before Treasure, suggesting without it you will not find it as one leads to the other, it's order if you like.
However it is the suggestion of a substitution cipher in the preface which is also important. TREASURES adds up to 126 by cipher and the proof of this lies in the fact that the only photo of the complete Treasures openly displayed appears on Page 126. Likewise the word TREASURE adds up to 107 see Page 107 in TTOTC it shows Fenn's two young daughters who resemble twins, apply this to the blatant use of Stars and you connect to Gemini in the Zodiac Wheel, a circle.
Within this circle Fenn covers the two Rainbows ends, hence the two Omegas. The first being the rainbow arc we see on Earth, which spans between sign 1 and sign 7 where Alpha begins it and Omega ends it in sign 7. This is one part of the biblical phrase, "the first and the last" Next he covers the full circle rainbow which continues around the circle where Omega appears under Alpha, full circle, the second part of the biblical phrase "the beginning and the end". It justifies the ending to be a Circle. The rainbow geometry drawn on the map following the clues takes you to a circle at "No place for the meek". Page 99 illustration is signed JF and J = 10 and F = 6, together side by side they are 106 and Page 106 tells you what the circle is. This page mentions 'smoking guns' which mean EVIDENCE of proof.
Study that page it's where Fenn tells you what the blaze will be when you arrive at the spot. It is connected to "IDEAS AND OPPORTUNITIES".

starwheel thanks for explaining. The suggestion of a substitution cipher in the preface isn't enough for me. I'm trying to open my mind up to other possibilities but for me I need to see it in the poem. That doesn't mean that you are wrong, I'm just not seeing it.Comment

Goldilocks Ok! So let's look at the extra Scrapbook added to the revised edition of OUAW, Dizzy Dean, what hits you in the face is the large image of TIME. Fenn mentions Time magazine firstly in the chapter 'Important Literature' and here he reiterates the word. If you take it to mean the clock face then it is divided into 12 parts just like the Zodiac Wheel is. This to me is part of the puzzle and to use it we take the hint from the book of Forrest's missing ball of string, a crime that goes unsolved, I think the hint here is to things missing in the poem and the book.
Firstly we know that X is missing in the poem, X stands for 10 in Roman numerals on a clock face. In the book stories 5 colors of the rainbow can be discovered, but no Indigo or Violet, which begin with I and V and side by side are IV the Roman numeral for 4. These explain why he refers to Salinger, who he claims he had not heard of, very personally as just JD. And J = 10 and D = 4 which match the missing.
INDIGO and VIOLET are colors 6 and 7 in the rainbow, and in Stanza 1 of the poem Lines 2 and 3 have syllable counts of 6 and 7. A distinct correlation with the missing colors. Numbers 10 and 4 oppose each other on the clock face literally halving it, now compare this to the Zodiac Wheel and you will see that these positions are 12 and 6, and put side by side are 126 the number of the word TREASURES.
However these alone do not produce anything of interest until you quarter the clock face, to do this you use 1 and 7, whilst on the Zodiac Wheel these relate to 9 and 3. Notice now where the clock face numbers appear on the Zodiac Wheel. You should see 10 at North, 4 at South, 1 at West and 7 at East. Back to the clock face you see 12 North, 6 South, 9 West and 3 East. On both clock face and Zodiac Wheel these are the Cardinal points of a compass, they are the Cardinal signs of the Zodiac.
Do you notice how Forrest oriented the chest photo with corners North to South and the Key aligned perfectly East to West.
Does it not prove something? In the 'Dizzy Dean' scrapbook why does he only mention the St. Louis CARDINALS and not the other teams he played for? Was it to highlight the word CARDINALS? If the blaze was a circle where would you dig?Last edited by starwheel; 03-11-2023, 03:40 PM.Comment
