Aliens never had nothin' on this group. They're too scared to invade.

(As alien spaceships fled from planet earth, a distant cry was heard across the cosmos . . . )

"KEEP YOUR DANG FORREST FENN TREASURE . . . YOU ALL ARE LOONEY!"

I can't necessarily address all the mysteries that you and Chester are proposing, but I'd say one of them proposals hits the nail right on the head and strongly insinuates a lifetime of too far to walk down the isle of marriage. Love shouldn't be that difficult, right? So your Norwal and Chester's Norpography (yep, deleted again, lol) basically says it all to this girl. I'm wielding my cross and chasing off the formidable predators who pretentiously lie in wait. No harm intended, but I view you guys as something of a lurking T-Rex wearing shady glasses, and who'll leave your search partner waiting in the car during the wedding ceremony while you run off and claim another treasure. Hey, but that's alright. I mean, it's better to find out prior to the ceremony or before spending a lifetime of searching, crawling, or licking someone's boots while groveling for tidbits. So, yes. I'm real sorry I had to cut to the chase in letting you guys quickly down, but you guys already knew that would probably happen, right?

                Yes it does.

On 28 June 1943, a B-17F-55-DL Flying Fortress, serial number 42-3399, nicknamed "Scharazad", departed Pendleton Army Air Base in Pendleton, Oregon destined for Grand Island, Nebraska....They were not heard from again.

Absent of resolution, there seems to be nothing gained. That said, I’m fully aware of the duality that exists as a possible ending where the cut runs the deepest. But the duality of the location, or finding resolution, isn’t necessarily the problem of where I’m currently at. It more so involves the heights of which Forrest may have reached in hiding the chest. Granted the hard part has been done, and it’s a downhill run for anyone lucky enough to find his fortune. Still, I couldn’t imagine my 80 year old grandpa trecking across mountainous trails designed for those younger pioneers, especially when Forrest made the statement not to go anywhere an 80 year old couldn’t. But what do I know? I guess I never knew the limits of Forrest and am only judging according to an age group I think I know, rather than the possibility of whom Forrest truly was - youth wise.

Then there’s the dilemma of attempting to keep all his quotes inline with the ending location. To say the least, this is difficult, given all he’s said. But here again envelopes a dilemma. Who’s to say that all of what Forrest said relates directly to the ending spot? Those hints could easily have related to any of the many hints he had given along the way. But I guess all this is a mute point. When following solely the poem, and chasing the gold found therein, there appears to be only one possible ending solve which becomes evident. Finding that ending location, however, becomes the difficult part. I imagine that’s why Forrest said a “good map” was needed. He just didn’t say which map that was.
                  Hey Suzy,
I remember Forrest saying/writing/whatever, that he did not think that he could make it down into the place where he hid his treasure anymore....like in 2018 or 2019 or something. I remember him implying "down," or something in-line with his poem's "in there." We all know the "And take it in the canyon down." We know that the poem must marry a map in a place where he did once go.... but, like less than 10 years later....he felt that he could no longer go “in there,” where he once had been.

You wrote, "It more so involves the heights of which Forrest may have reached in hiding the chest," in describing the "dilemma" in the "place where you are at." If by heights you mean elevation…well…that place in Bisti is not an issue IMO because it is not a huge change in elevation and the hike is not as rugged as one may think….say, like crossing a river or going to 10,200 feet in “elevation.” IMO…Forrest knew the area well and got to know it….over the course of years/decades. He said he’d hiked thousands of miles up arroyos and the like. IMO, the hidey-hole at Bisti is doable by a 79-year-old in the span of an afternoon (2 trips). Especially doable for a spry and determined individual such as Forrest Fenn. But be sure Suzy…IMO, Forrest knew that area well and had been there many times over the course of the decades….setting things up. For example, there was an ax-head and an arrangement of 9-stones in the shape of a W/M. If Bisti, then he knew that when the sun set, a golden double omega appeared when standing on top of the monolith that serves as “Brown.” In other words he had been to the locality and knew it well….he set things up and thought about things over the course of those decades. IMO….it all went down to the final trip when he was 79 and made his 2 trips….from the parking lot to bury his gold in the course of an afternoon….”a few miles.” See link below.

If by “heights” you mean “his experiences,” and the “the dilemma of attempting to keep all his quotes inline with the ending location,” IMO, the locality where he hid his chest triggered within him all the recollections of his life. IMO, the place is the place that tipped the first domino into tipping the others that were in line for him. Remember what he wrote about the soul and a cow.... IMO, the place activated all the recollections of his life (like dominos falling). IMO...the place was like a trigger to him. IMO, there is where the collage of his life came into view and passed before his eyes. A movie would show such a scene and leave it to the audience to understand perhaps that the place where this occurred, is where he found his solace and his peace....the place where he "felt the most comfortable." IMO, that is the why, of the where, where the Milay “palace in the sand” quote applies.

Thinking about it.... can you imagine? A place that triggers and corresponds with your own life in such a way that your memories meld into the locality. Fond memories, warm feelings, the horrible disasters, and the hurt and the pain too. Perhaps it is a place where the plane of existential crisis meets with the horizon of heaven? A place that is perhaps other-worldly in its spiritual and psychological substance. That Bisti can equate to "Bessie" is not forcing the puzzle pieces together. IMO....Bisti's landscape presents a geographical montage of scenery that can act as a backdrop for the collage of most everyone's lives. It is a fine place to sit and gaze at the scenery and examine one's own life. The locality of Bisti stimulates the imagination IMO.

The geology, the scenery, the time of year, the time of day, the desert colors and changing hues and moods and the various settings, IMO...that place is a good place to just sit and think. The Native American influence on his life and career would be on his mind too….but is largely absent from the minds of many searchers. (Largely absent from TTOTC too, wonder why, a trick?). Out there is where the mind is relaxed, and one is made open to the suggestions of the voices of the aions. Aion....is the Greek God of Eternity. IMO....Forrest was out there as a listener in the desert and eternity whispered into his ear. IMO...he spent time out there, a lot of time.....it is just 18 miles from Chaco Canyon, and it is a day trip from Santa Fe. Look what the Anasazi did out there because of the mystical experiences of such a magical place.... call it ineffable?

About your last paragraph.... Goethe wrote, "All that is transitory is but a metaphor." IMO, to spend time remembering your life in such a place as Bisti is to “rediscover your soul," and to remember your own “Bessie.” IMO....that is why the place is special to him. The place....is a metaphor.....for many things, all things.....everything.....if one is so inclined to allow it to be so. Talk about "heights?" Yeah....that's the place where Eagles fly very, very high.... both literally and figuratively. In such a place you can soar with the Eagles. Bisti is a sacred place.... revered as "the place of origin" by the Navajo. Why? Because of the fossils and history and beliefs. There are turtle fossils out there Suzy. IMO, the landscape records the eons of time and Forrest had envisioned himself out there….joining with it….the place where “he wanted to die.”

IMO...all the details fill in and are satisfied within a narrative if you give it the chance to. For example, what does Mrs. Ford have to do with Bisti? And the fire escape, and the wagon and the horses etc? Well, Mr. Ford Harvey made a trip out to Chaco to meet with Richard Wetherill (owner of Ojo Alamo Store within Bisti). In that journey they climbed ladders (fire escape), rode horses and wagons, and ended with a visit to the Grand Canyon to scope the locality for the El Tovar Harvey House (railroad connection) that was to be built. IMO....this bit of history shares elements with Forrest's stories. There is connection. Ford Harvey met Richard Wetherill out there at Chaco……Richard owned two stores. One at Chaco and one at Bisti. Did you know that there are oil wells out there in the area and that if the air is just right at night, you can hear them “pinging?” Didn’t Forrest say something about pinging?

IMO Suzy, a locality is first and foremost the most important thing to buy into.... then, and only then can an individual begin to explore to perhaps discover the answers to the secrets that Forrest already knows. Yeah....I know....he wrote "answer and secret," but come on.....we searchers have many questions....and we seek.....many answers. IMO....those answers spring forth from locality, locality, locality (secret and answer). If Bisti is the locality (I think it is), then am I perhaps the only one that has a bead on his secrets and his answers? The locality of Bisti joins the 7-elements. Out there is a picture of treasure chest, it has a Brown (it is the home of, where he/she lives), there is a dragon and a lion, there’s a nail in WWWh's, there is an arrow, a frog, the W/M/double omega, the ax and boot, the bird and the moon, and the hidey hole at Bisti is the proper distance from the parking lot too, and hey....it is the Badlands. "From there, it's no place for the meek," and the Badlands are "no place for the meek."

If you are interested....please tell me a specific of “something” that is troubling you about whichever of the heights that you speak of....a question or riddle that sticks with you regarding something specific regarding his poem, or what he said.....I/we, can try running it through the locality of Bisti to see if an answer can be derived that satisfies the need to know. Cheers.

About the 5000 and 10,200 feet thing...I post a link to a comment I did a while ago regarding the distance for your perusal.

Yep, I feel like a yo-yo at times (okay, no comments from the peanut gallery ), so back in the rabbit hole I go. Now all I have to do is decipher Forrest's quote where he mentioned a person could go there in any whether. If I got that write, I can right home to mama and tell her there might be a wedding after all. Hey, I look at it this way. If eternity is in there, then fate is destined to follow, right? Don't answer that, I "no" your answer. I figure the hardest part is going to be kidnapping one of them boys so that Chester or Tornado are unaware of my actions. They're sneaky little devils, you know. Not to mention, they're fictionally bigger than life and they'll jar the boat any chance they "can".

Edit to add: I think Forrest helped Doug by using his expert skills in triangulation and ground navigation from his military training along with countless other Fenn trickery to setup a wicked hard-ass treasure trail from beginning to end and then was the frontman for the Chase to bring it to the public.
