  • Violent Ending

"Is it fair that now no one recalls where those brave French soldiers fell and are now interred in that remote jungle clearing, hidden from life for a million sunsets? After a violent ending, they had been swallowed up in a serenely beautiful place, and at the same time, hidden by the ravages of time and nature. Those who fell there, in that hateful, wasteful, losing war, (like the one in which I was involved) are forever forgotten, save by me." [in my poem] -TTotC

No. I suppose it's not fair.

They say you die twice. Once when you stop breathing and the second, a bit later on, when somebody mentions your name for the last time.

Perhaps f thought that 'once' was already too much.

          I know this is true.
For many others, however, they are not ready for death when it comes. I don't think it's about fear so much as not being ready to give up their hopes and dreams in this life.

So hear me all and listen good:

"..the whole machine rolled over on its side and parts started flying through the sky like missiles." -pg 50

"...airplane that made so much noise it must have scared the fish for miles around." -pg 53

"...if we don't change course soon we'll end up where we're going." -pg 62

"...throwing sprays all over the place and making noises like a helocopter." -pg 67

"The roar was so traumatic that I felt that if it happened again I might not survive." -pg 88

Sounds like a violent ending to me.

              Hey Not4,
Where is the dragon? Where is Richard Wetherill, the "If she drinks all that beer I'm gonna dial 911?" Where's the frog and where is the W/M on the eye? Where is Brown.... cheers.

No dragon. f already addressed that:

Are there any objects placed in the Bronze Chest that are connected, or have meaning to the place the chest is hidden? ~ Mike

No Mike, everything in the chest is straight forward and visual, except my autobiography, which some might find dull. Oops, I forgot, there is one thing in the chest that I have not talked about except to say I don’t want to talk about it. It is something saved especially for the person who solves the clues. I think that person will be pleased when she sees it. f

'dial 911' - You remember what happened on 9/11 right?

Brown [trout] - They are swimming happily in Monster Lake (about 9 miles south of Cody)

                Not sure on missing frog

Missing emerald - Emerald Lake is separated from Diamond, Saphire and Gold Lakes on the other side of the Bighorns

W - 'wreck' is on the crest of Bomber Mountain

                I don't see Wetherill as a connection.

I see you have taken the bait.....

"One item" and "She sees it." IMO....double subterfuge....a double negative....indicates a positive to the original question, which is "Are there any objects placed in the Bronze Chest that are connected, or have meaning to the place the chest is hidden? In other words..."yes" there are items in the chest that have meaning/connection with the place the chest hidden. Case in point is the dragon and his "two hairs." The two hairs are comparative to the two feathers held by the twins. (Navajo myth, "The House of the Father Sun.") Didn't his mom have a twin? The dragon is the dinosaur (where the myth of dragons comes from). You got anything else besides a Brown trout in a lake? Like I said before, if you don't have the dragon/frog/Brown...you ain't got it. The 911....clue was only one of the four things that LeRoy said mate.....he wasn't talking about the terrorist attack.

I suppose you don't see the clear connection that Bisti has to Byron Harvey, the turquoise bracelet, the Navajo Silversmith, Brown, or Milay's palace in the sand that describes where Forrest felt the most comfortable. No, nothing to do with the solve or as having anything to do with the solve....or Bomber Mountain either mate. Difference is that I have proved these links and you have not. Cheers.

All of the '22' quotes suggest Forrest was hinting to runway 22 at KCOD. Two aberrations involving Florence, the lake where the memorial plaque is located for Bomber Mountain and Bip painting the bone-shaped Willow Park Reservoir.

How about a plane crash that happened on 4/22/42 in New Mexico, because they failed to clear a 10,242 peak?

Yeah I thought you guys might be interested.

"Trail Peak rises 10,242 feet and is a prominent peak on the Philmont
Ranch. During the time Waite Phillips owned the Ranch, the roads into
this area stopped at Crater Lake. The only way to Fish Camp and beyond
was by horseback. There were very few trails in the area and no hiking
trail at all on what is now called Trail Peak. The łtrail˛ in Trail Peak
is derived from its being the dominant peak along the Śtrail˛ from
Crater Lake to Rayado Lodge at Fish Camp.

The Peak became known to generations of Philmont campers as the site of
the B-24 bomber wreck. On April 22, 1942, an Army Air Force B-24D Liberator, with
a crew of 8 set out on a round trip navigational training flight from
Kirtland Field in Albuquerque to Kansas City.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., on the return flight, the Liberator crashed
just below the crest of Trail Peak. The wreckage would go undiscovered
for another week, until it was spotted by another B-24 from Kirtland. On
May 2, a search party arrived at the crash sight led by Elliott Phillips, son of Philmont's benefactors.

Killed in the crash were Robert Redding, 27, Aircraft Commander; Eagle
Scout Rolland Jeffries, 21, 2nd Lt.; Jonas Ruff, 32, Instructor
                        co‹pilot; George Van Hoozer. Flight Engineer, Charles Reynard, Lt.;
Duane Peterson, Corporal; and, Phillip Macomber, Corporal."

More detail here at "Check-Six" https://check-six.com/Crash_Sites/Philmont_B-24.htm

We can work this out. 242 should be satisfied by the references to four two. Yeti should be satisfied we are in an area more likely to encounter Fenn footprints. Additional: didn't the Great Fibber say something about 10,200 feet? That's the elevation of the crash site.
                        Hey B,
I provide a link to a comment I made in a thread titled "Between 5000 and 10200 feet" back on 7/21/2022. Regarding the feet....well, I figured that the distance in elevation can also mean distance in feet horizontally, across the ground. IMO, that's just like Forrest to do something like that. Cheers. Link below:
Other than elevation, what do you think may have meant when he gave this hint?

It seemed suggestive to me for it's close proximity to the Air Force Academy, Cheyenne Mtn, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, several prominent 14'ers including Pike, etc. Leadville's street grid is named for trees. Margaret "Molly" Brown, who became known as "The Unsinkable Molly Brown", moved to Leadville when she was 18. In 1886 she married a mining engineer who was twelve years older, James Joseph Brown. The Brown family acquired great wealth in 1893 when Brown was instrumental in the discovery of a substantial gold ore seam at the Little Jonny Mine. Incidentally, the Tabor General Store (Horace Tabor was one of the founders of Leadville) was moved later to Buckskin Joe (a film set formerly near Cañon City), and figures into several famous westerns that were filmed there. It was moved again to Boot Hill, over at Billy the (Koch) Kid's spread.

Now I'm not so sure about any of it.
                          Hey B,
To gently cajole, you make excellent observations and you connect the dots of abstract things well. Please consider that Forrest wrote of the following in TTOTC (in Bold):

Richard Wetherill is connected to Bisti with his store at the Ojo Alamo Spring. (History and Locality)
Byron Harvey is the link to Richard Wetherill. (History and Locality)
The turquoise bracelet is connected to Forrest Fenn, and to Bisti. (History and Locality)
The Navajo Silversmith is connected to the turquoise bracelet. (History and Locality; Navajo Nation within the Badlands)
Kritosaurus Navajovious Brown (discovered and named by Barnum Brown) is connected to the Navajo Silversmith and to Brown. (the name of the place where he lives, where he inhabits...is his home) (He is a denizen of Bisti-De-Na-Zin) Home of Brown.
Milay's quote "palace in the sand" fits Bisti and describes where he felt "the most comfortable."

These things...straight forward. No "over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder" leaps in reason and logic required. People complain, "its too complicated," give me a break..... The disbelief when staring at an answer and not seeing it is not my problem....it is the endemic position of the human mind.

OMG....I saw Josh Gates and his crew last night on "Expedition X" (tv) trapsing around Elkhorn, Wisconsin and chasing "Werewolves." In recent days I have seen reports on news sites online about UFO's (little green men), Bigfoot sightings, ghosts/apparitions captured on film, boogie-men caught on camera. This is the condition of the human animal.

Let me ask you a question...If you were in the woods and rocks were being thrown at you and one hit you, would you ascribe it to Bigfoot or would you ascribe it to a human being.....being a human being?

All's I'm saying mate is, if it looks like a duck and it walks like a duck and it sounds like a duck....then it must be a duck. Yeah.....duck billed dinosaur....a dragon, who paddles (like a duck does). There is a monolith out there at Bisti with the word "DICK" carved on it (a title)....."I give you title to the gold?" Substitute the I with a U and you get "DUCK." Just so happens that the monolith now becomes "Brown" the duck billed dino/dragon, and it looks just like a frog...it contains an alligator and an elephant's trunk too. Yeah...when standing on the top of it (Brown) at Sunset, you see a golden double omega/M/W....Yeah, had you discovered all of this, then you would perhaps be convinced. There at Bisti....is the boot and the ax, and the bird and the moon. Out there is where a dragon guards the gold and where a lion stands as sentinel guarding Forrest's secrets. Yeah....there is where the Budweiser 911 matches the Leroy quote. (Bisti answers his other 3 quotes as well). Out there is where there is a hieroglyph that depicts the treasure chest.....Even though I showed you a picture of the chest....you still do not believe.... anyway, if you can show how Leadville has links to Richard Wetherill, Byron Harvey, the Navajo Silversmith, the turquoise bracelet, Brown, and Milay's "palace in the sand" that describes where Forrest felt the most comfortable, then please show.....and then I will believe you. Stop chasing Werewolves with "Expedition X" and start moving with the Bisti location mate....why not believe that it is a human that is throwing all those rocks, instead of a Sasquatch? Cheers.
