I imagine if you were a giant ogre, you could use that etched boulder as a skipping stone and cause some rip pIes along Forrest's fishing holes and calm pools of water. Probably Forrest's way of saying, stick with the beauty of it all dumb-dumb and try to have some fun while following the blaze. Yep, I can hear Forrest speak in shouted whispers: "Iffin the rock is too big, divide it into quarters so your friends can have some fun and skip too. Every once in a while you need to get stupid and crazy."
Of course we all know, Forrest would say it in a nice, pleasant manner.
The entire thread is boring. I know someone named Alexander, great guy!
Sometimes I get depressed, but never bored. Can’t even remember what it feels like. Not sure why detangling things is relaxing, perhaps because it’s methodical and calm? The mind can wander? My issue is too many thoughts and not enough time, but I’m sure some gal/guy exists with the opposite problem. Someone who thinks much faster than me and lives forever.
All cut knot piles look exactly like every other cut knot pile- ready to become non-descript fire starters (though wax and dryer lint assist.) Add various forms of salt and they can make the fire a rainbow of myriad color. But why would impatience enjoy sitting by a fire and just watching it all burn?
Sometimes they are too knotted up and you just have to cut them out and begin anew.
I understand not everyone enjoys untangling knots that others pass on, but I also understand for some that Gordian Knots are easier to cut. Personally, I like to keep my scalpels sharp. (And my axe).
And then- never use the sharp things. - I mean- unknotting knots is relaxing, no? I don’t even know anyone named Alexander.
When I look at the sketch, I notice Eric Sloane signed his name backwards.
Should look like this, shouldn’t it?
Hey Fish,
Very good. Maybe it speaks to opposite. I'd seen it, and not mentioned it, but you did! The image is likely reversed/manipulated for a purpose. The signature of Eric versus the regular text in the caption is an inconsistency. What say you regarding the matter? IMO, it is a riddle within a clue that needs to be cracked....in order to render the clarity/meaning/answer. If so, then this "clue" is a riddle that needs to be solved. We know the elements....you just wrote that observation. IMO...there is a "key" therefor to crack the riddle fully.
IMO...this "stickman" drawing by Eric does resembles/depicts a clue that I found on the ground at Bisti. It is a formation that I call "hat-man" because it looks like Eric's drawing...a man with a hat. On his beard are etched the numbers 1152, 430, and the word "STOP." Those two numbers match up with the distances between 3 of the clues out there. The numbers are 1152 and 430. Interestingly, now thinking about it, the distances between those clues (points) out there are 430 and 1152, if taken in order, approaching the hidey-hole. (This is the opposite of how the numbers are written on the beard/face). Geeze. See, the reversed distances are like the reversed aspects of the image too. So Fish, your comment seems to line up with what I found out there on the ground and it matches up with the opposite/reverse notion for distances between point/clues out there too. IMO, the riddle is now cracked. If you like...just say and I will repost the image of hat-man, the numbers in his beard/face (and the word STOP), and the clues with those "reversed" distances too. Heck, I'll do it anyway and I will @ you when I do it. The stickman has something to say, and IMO.....you and me have cracked that just now....Monkey Christmas and a Barnum Brown New Year. Astonishing!
Through the looking glass of Bisti....IMO, you rendered an assist in the cracking/solving of the stick figure's riddle. Cheers. Let all this stuff sink in for now....I'll probably start a new thread that makes the claim and demonstrates the findings. Thank you for the assist mate!
Hey thread and OP,
Attached is the image of Eric Sloan's drawing of Forrest. It depicts a figure with a stick. It is a "stick figure." IMO, this is just the kind of thing that is in line with Forrest's methodology.
IMO the drawing is an insiders joke between Forrest and Eric. Forrest could have thrown the napkin away. Why didn't he? IMO...It is Eric's wink at Forrest because he knows the man. IMO...this drawing reveals more than meets the eye. Elements of the drawing: Mandrake (the Magician), a duck (Mandrake Fenn likens Forrest to a male duck), a bird, a hat, a dog, and Eric's signature.
IMO, if the stick in the picture of the chest has meaning then that meaning is likely that the stick was placed into the chest and photographed as a "wink" to Eric Sloan. This would have been done by Forrest on purpose, perhaps as a way to honor his friend that meant so much to him. If Forrest did put that stick in the chest for that purpose (or any other), then we must acknowledge the possibility that the photo was staged as a means...to the end of providing a trickster's wink...meant to honor his friend. If the stick was not placed there with a purpose, then perhaps the photo was not staged. But that's the hook isn't it; the intrigue, the puzzle, the not knowing, when we want to know? And so it is with a Rascal, either way. Cheers
If Forrest and the finders entered into an NDA that any and all information released must be agreed upon would that not make that statement make sense?
Using it to make Forrest look like he was misleading is one more attempt to save a wrong solution. Forrest had no reason to lie about the state.
He knew the nine-mile plan as he was a part of it, only things changed but no one wants to give the man his due. So we have everyone in the know throwing the old man off the edge.
If not to hide the truth, to make their solve truth. WY is the state and 99% of the searchers were playing follow the leader in Yellowstone.
I have been told you know more about the ending than you say, is that true ? and if so why would you work so hard to throw people off what f really did?
The chest was found near the border of Col and WY that is the truth.
I may know more about the ending than I say. Since I don't have possession of the treasure chest, I don't want to tell too much about where I think it was hidden . . . in great detail . . . until I am totally/thoroughly convinced that my days of searching for the TC are over. Good luck to you.

"Near" is kinda vague. Everything on earth is "near" every other thing on earth, compared to the distance from earth to the planet Neptune.
I would have felt like a complete scum, but now I wish I would have recorded everything Forrest and I spoke about. That was something I could not do. I even told him I would delete all our emails if he did not feel safe. I did not know Forrest would be gone so fast. I knew the clock was ticking I felt it. Ya, I know 90 years old who didn't right? I really thought I had till spring. Who did not see themselves meeting with f in his backyard? I know he had a meeting with six people there in early June. At Forrest's age, he did get confused when that many people were around at once.
When we first started emailing he thought I knew the finder somehow. Things seemed to be a little too line up for his liking. If anyone knew the place Forrest was in, it would make you cry.
Secrets took their toll on Forrest, more than many know. Love, regret, and payment for sins were the reasons for TTOTC everything else was a show.
He was a grown adult when he entered the war in Vietnam (and nearby countries). And he was a grown adult when he did much of his gambling (poker) -- and business in art. He was a grown adult when he joined the CIA and did what he was instructed to do by/for that organization. If he felt any guilt about any of that, he probably deserved it. But I felt sorry for him anyway. And I feel sorry for y'all. May the FSM (Flying Spaghetti Monster) smile on y'all and touch y'all with his noodly appendage.
