To all the people who think Forrest was directly giving them hints or confirmers that they were close in his Emails or story's. I think they are wrong. He said he would never do that. He would never help or deter anyone directly towards the chest. He wanted all equal and fair. And there never was a lead searcher. And nobody besides Shilo and/or maybe Preston give uncertain closure.

This has been pointed out a number of times.... But those who would have us believe in NMH have unanimously ignored it, just like they ignore any evidence which runs contrary to the narrative they have been trying to establish as fact....

Dal is also a searcher. I am determined to stay aloof of providing any additional clues that are useful. Everyone has the same information to work with. The words he was scanning for were East entrance, Guard Shack and of course Yellowstone.

I think the solver made Forrest happy in the way that reminiscing about the best times of one's life would, and also in the way that watching someone struggle and succeed would. Forrest said the poem was very difficult but not impossible to solve yet he lived to see it solved spontaneously as he had imagined and intended during all those years of planning.
