It was weird how it started out as all about getting kids off the couch. And that was the only reason. And historical knowledge had nothing to do with it. Then turned into politics, death, archeological drama, ploys, misguided answers to muse himself and so much more. I was always a believer there was more to the treasure the the treasure itself. A true purpose of educational information besides the less then $500,000 melt value of the gold if you avoided the government ever finding out. Why you needed to ponder for 30 days what to do with what you found? Why he said it was out of his hands at first and wouldn't know if it was found. Besides he didnt didnt think the finder would be a quite type of person. ( like jack) Yet always proclaimed it wasn't found and was still out there for over 9 years. Never said he didn't want the location or solution revealed. Until Jack made that statement. How can't he have thought the Fenn fanatics would feel betrayed and in a way shamed. His life could of been made into a great historical documentary or show. A inspirational story to so many. Yet his grave and what he did is will be covered in the swallows of the meek. I almost wish I never heard of Forret Fenn. He opened up a world that I never seen. Yet he left me blinded for reasons I can't seem to comprehend. God Speed Mr. Fenn. I hope someday the truth comes out before. If not. You should at least be a asterisk in the history books with the greatest scoundrels ever.

It’s said history is written by the winners. Why write one version when you can write two and keep one secret?
Only the phantom knows what shadows shape behind a blinding light.
In the Medium article Jack claimed F called him a genius. Maybe he meant genius loci.
In related news, I’ve used the poem in that article to locate a 12 square foot area in the middle of the Amazon. Who wants to go on a field trip? I’ve already arraigned for a translator (for a hefty but fair price, even if unorthodox and bizarre.) Need to up my vaccines though, don’t have ‘tropical disease prophylactics on my dance card yet’.

Duck billed dinosaurs....have a significant nasal cavity...snorts, honks....like the Walmart parking lot
The fossil is the shadow of it's former self, the bones
Like the desert is a shadow of the jungle of it's former self
And the shadow of the water....is the dry memory of the water
And the the bear of the water
                  is the bare of water
As the sun goes down, it casts a fiery shadow
And the shape is in the double omega
                  And who is the phantom
                  But Brown
                  The shadow knows.....the phantom
                  And the phantom knows
                  Who is Brown?

Yeah, many places are shadows of their former selves; a lot of desert/ dry land was once under the ocean. Searching ‘cannonball concretions’ is fun. I tried to find this place called ‘Rock City’ in KS last time I passed through, but GPS was incorrect (or misleading at best) and led me to the middle of farmland with no geological attractions in sight before nightfall. After an hour or two of searching I left unsatisfied and not sure it exists so would recommend locating it on GE before visiting. Could’ve just been wonky engineering on the maps, but I’m not in a position to say.

Nary a horse was ever seen on that land . . . at least not recently.

                      Bar the home run stretch.

Actually, now that I think about it, that parcel is just about the size of land you'd need for one horse. hmmm, I wonder if that was a hint? prolly, knowing Forrest

Forrest didn’t intend it to end this way imo. I don’t think it’s over yet. I think he intended for the solve to be known.

Jack was not the finder. If Shiloh pulled the chest for Forrest in 2020, which is plausible, then of course the spot will never be known. If not, there’s still a chance the spot could be known given the stick pic. I still have 1 card left to play.

Jack is literally NOT the finder lol. Officially sure. Only 1 person knows the solve and it ain’t Jack or Shiloh. all imho.
