  • Why no final closure?

From Forrest, or after he passed his wife, daughters, his grandkids or Preston. After the supposed find. It would be realistic they would of all been told the "real why that spot". And Preston seemed to know before it was even hidden he said it was to easy. And at one of the first book signings. His wife said it wouldn't be fair if they went to look for it. So has anyone even asked one of them for a live interview to give his fans some reasonable answers and explanations? If they would of done that right away. It would end so much of the unresolved speculations they still endure in my opinion. Or even Billy Jack not being a obscurity with no real resolves.

It will seem so simple and easy, to the point of embarrassment, that some people won't admit that they believe it's the solve. So they'll choose to stay unsatisfied, wondering whether anagrams, magnetic declination, mapping letters in the poem's layout in the book TTOTC, or carvings in FF's backyard tree trunks would have unlocked the big mystery. Truth is boring and not always pleasant. As always, all part of my opinion.
I suppose if folk were fed and conditioned, then its there own findings, they came up with the answers, so they would be right. No need to convince winners.

Don't worry a bit , it will REALLY be over very soon . I am not trolling you in the least bit . I am dead serious .

Someone said something about it, that some don't want to accept it is another story:

          The treasure has been found

It was under a canopy of stars in the lush, forested vegetation of the Rocky Mountains and had not moved from the spot where I hid it more than 10 years ago. I do not know the person who found it, but the poem in my book led him to the precise spot.

I congratulate the thousands of people who participated in the search and hope they will continue to be drawn by the promise of other discoveries.

So the search is over. Look for more information and photos in the coming days. f

people should pay attention to the written word in BIG BOLD letters and the coming days brought nothing of value.
You can hang on if that trips your trigger but I’m over it

Forrest thought this statement would be enough to bring closure, not a hard read.

Many of the searchers for my treasure had solves that seemed to neatly fit the clues in my poem. Then when the finder found and retrieved the treasure, other searchers wondered how close they had been to the right spot. Because I promised the finder I would not reveal who found it or where, I have remained mostly silent.

However, the finder understands how important some closure is for many searchers, so today he agreed that we should reveal that the treasure was found in
Wyoming. Until he found the treasure, the treasure had not moved in the 10 years since I left it there on the ground, and walked away.

Perhaps today’s announcement will bring some closure to those whose solves were in New Mexico, Colorado, or Montana.

To all of those who did not find the treasure, we hope that you got some enjoyment from the chase. f

                    Hey 23,
That statement is not a straight flush if Wyoming is the joker in poker. In other words...it is not valid. If it is...then prove it mate...cheers!

-Translation: The operating words here are 'seemed to neatly fit the clues in my poem', which means that everyone other than Jack had general solves, not the true solve.

Then when the finder found and retrieved the treasure, other searchers wondered how close they had been to the right spot.

-Translation: The finder (Jack) found and retrieved (got to it first and took with him) the treasure (ie. singular: one treasure chest). 'Wondered how close they'd been' it is human nature to want to know how close one was to the final spot, but the best we can give you is the state.

Because I promised the finder I would not reveal who found it or where, I have remained mostly silent.

-Translation: A promise was made to Jack, and Forrest was the type of person who can keep a promise, regardless of how much crap was coming his way.

However, the finder understands how important some closure is for many searchers, so today he agreed that we should reveal that the treasure was found in Wyoming.

-Translation: Here within context, Jack understands how important closure is for 'many' and he also agrees with Forrest to reveal the state where it was found.

Until he found the treasure, the treasure had not moved in the 10 years since I left it there on the ground, and walked away.

-Translation: Jack found the treasure in the same spot where Forrest left it originally in Wyoming. It was not moved from one place to another, much less from one state to another state.

Perhaps today’s announcement will bring some closure to those whose solves were in New Mexico, Colorado, or Montana.

-Translation: This post shall serve as closure, also if your solve was in New Mexico, Colorado, or Montana you had the wrong solution. If you still think it might be in NM, CO or MT after this post you are just as dumb as a rock.

To all of those who did not find the treasure, we hope that you got some enjoyment from the chase. f

-Translation: For everyone else still sour about Jack finding the treasure, hopefully, you had some fun looking for it. If you didn't, you can always start your own fenntube channel and whine about it day in and day out. If you go out looking for a second treasure chest you are dumber than that rock.

re this part of your translation…

Until he found the treasure, the treasure had not moved in the 10 years since I left it there on the ground, and walked away.

-Translation: Jack found the treasure in the same spot where Forrest left it originally in Wyoming. It was not moved from one place to another, much less from one state to another state.

I would like to add that this was a direct response to the question about the website that appeared out of nowhere stating they found the chest, moved it, and were looking for a buyer. He was flat out saying that was a lie.
                          I agree.

                            No it doesn't.

no where in the original statements made by Forrest states "Jack/Bill" was anything.

                            All Forrest ever said was:
"it was found by a man from Back east."
                            - he NEVER stated any specific names.

                            Please use ONLY the facts.

You have added what you want it to say....which is quite untrue.

Please do not misdirect the Community with false insertions (that you add) - that never existed in the first place....without verifiable evidence to show you are correct.

                            "I did know the person....." - f

"Jack/Bill" interviewed Forrest - thus, Forrest knew him.

He is not any solver or finder. Please use "critical thinking" and 'logic" when trying to figure out what has been said.

                            Thank you and be safe.

                            Good luck.----------

Why after all this time some still believe this trash? Jack is the finder, Zoe and Shiloh have confirmed it. Sorry that Forrest was dead by the time Jack would be outed by the court case and could not verify it himself but that's life. How thick of a skull? If you have evidence that Jack was not the finder and does not have possession of the chest go ahead and show it, everyone is waiting. Want to make an interesting bet and make some cash in the process? NO, don't have the evidence? Then stfu.

I don't know if Jack was the finder. He may have been. This I do know: The ending of the treasure didn't end as Forrest indicated over the years and the ending was very obscure. Could Forrest have ended it himself? That is highly probable because he couldn't die without the search being resolved. Why? If he died before it ended, then he would have saddled his family, particularly his grandchildren, with harassment for the rest of their lives as shown by several incidents requiring the police to be involved.

For Forrest to end this search without negative repercussions required vagueness concerning the facts of who found it, how it was found, and where it was precisely located. Exactly what occurred in the resolution of the search. Forrest was a nice guy, but in my opinion there were many indicators that Forrest had an ability to be loose with the truth to himself and with others. He was first in his life.

Whether the search ended as Forrest said it did or as I indicated above, I don't know. But him ending the hunt carries more weight in my mind. I enjoyed the time and effort in the search and my life is better for it. I now visit this site about every six months for amusement. And as for Forrest? Eh.
