Anybody ever think of it this way ? : If he was a crook who wanted to rob the common man , wouldn't he have gone into the Martinizing business ? Or the fly shop business pawning his non fish catching flies he made himself ? That would be 100% pure profit btw , excellent lure for a con mans exponential future gain goals . No , instead he goes into the Art Gallery business , which leads to never taking $100 from his best customer . Henceforth , fleecing Rich dudes out of their always throwing away money funds ? Which side of the coin is more noble in your opinion ?

Which is what cracks me up on the short sightedness with all the He was a liar and con man with this chase type people . I mean , why would anyone in their right mind take on such a low yielding cashflow generating scheme as a 30 dollar book scam ???? He through his life had ALREADY fried much bigger Whales than the little guppies this theory suggests .

    Off soapbox
True, no point in hanging out with “piss guppies.”

(Cough) I think George Washington said it better!

”it’s better to be alone than in bad company.”

It's "nice", spoken with a "southern" accent.
There's an old joke including that, although the exact wording isn't critical. The joke is a little long/tedious, so please forgive me for not including it here.
The intended point was a bit of sarcasm (feigning interest).
