  • Tornados, major flooding, roads washed out, runaway barges . . .
We've had our hands full around here for a few days.
There are thousands of folks who have lost everything.
My heart goes out to all of those who have suffered such tremendous losses.
    ================================================== =========

Forrest said he knew from the start exactly where he was going to hide the treasure.
He said he tried to think of everything.
In other words, he tried to cover everything.

He then says that he spent a lot of money and time with a lawyer.
In other words, he lawyered up.

lawyered up = covered it up

Hmmm, there's that ridiculous blanket, again.

So, how does this relate to the poem?
Well, we are looking for F's treasure. And, its location is a secret. No one but him knows where it's at, regardless of those who claim to know exactly where it's at and blah blah blah. Those people are funny. Funny people make me laugh.

The location of the treasure is a secret.
In the first stanza, F tells us he can keep his secret 'where'. A 'where' is a location.
We are looking for that secret location.
We are looking for that secret 'where'.

    I can keep my secret where . . .
    I can retain . . .

    my secret = my counsel

    keep one's counsel . . .

That's as far as I'll go with that, for now.
Worked precisely, it gives you a very specific description of a location.
Where warm waters halt is outlined in the first stanza.
Once you have figured that out, then you will understand where you are to wind up at in the end game.
    IMO.
    I can retain my counsel . . . and hint of . . .

I absolutely adore those who claim to be in the lead while also telling the world that they completely ignore the first stanza.

      • IMO (lol for what that's worth) he tells us 2 basic things where (or rather how) he went and where he can keep his hints to the riches. of course there's more but that looks to be the 2 most relevant.
        Now how are those related....

I just watched an interview of an elderly woman standing in her rubble happy to be alive, talking about losing her dog. Then the interview camera suddenly turned to a puppy whining under the piles. It was the elderly woman's dog and the interview lady helped her pull it out. The puppy was okay and the elderly lady was in seventh heaven, even though she was standing in total loss. That was awesome!
I'm glad the woman and her little dog is ok. It was real nice to see that the interview lady was there to help. Helping others is what it's all about, anytime we can do our part for others , well that's a treasure in it's self. btw the weather around here is wonderful, we will be enjoying it for awhile. The lake is up but the campers and boaters like it that way. We have a nice large rock by the water where all the kids play walk the plank and then jump into the river. We do catch some fish from time to time, seems like the big one always gets away. To hear the fishermen tell it one would think it was a monster. My grandmother is a great cook, loves to fish, loves to cook fish too, and has a few fish stories of her own. You guys have a great summer!

Good post, you’re starting to catch on.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.
