      The successful searcher won't need to have been at the blaze. Knowing what/where it is will suffice for its purpose in the hunt. You can take that to "the bank" . . . hee hee!

      • Old Pilot sometimes I wonder if you’re really Confucius reborn. Cuz your words can certainly confuse us. Maybe one must become wise to understand.

        • Old Pilot You walk past the blaze. You might see it as you walk by it. You know it’s there but it’s not. Turn back and look down. The box is distant from the blaze.
          Im zeroing in next season.

          • "The key word [ in the law ] is 'discover'," Fenn says. "We've found bones that might have been human, but we didn't 'discover' that they were …"

            found = discovered
            https://www.classicthesaurus.com/found

            If you have 'found' the answer to something, then you have 'comprehended' the answer.

            If you've been wise and found the blaze …
            "We've FOUND … but we didn't DISCOVER …"

            Finding the blaze and 'discovering' the blaze are two separate actions, imo.
            Therefore, it is also my opinion that one must be AT the blaze to truly understand it.
            Only then, will "been wise" make sense, imo.

            F has used 'found' and 'discovered' interchangeably on a few occasions.
            I see no reason he might not have did it here, also.

              Yes."

              You can place a pot of water close to a flame to keep it warm.
              The closer you move it to the flame, the quicker it will evaporate.
              It will halt.
              https://www.classicthesaurus.com/evaporate/synonyms/3

              You must (know) 'what' warm waters are in order to (discover) where they halt.

              • Where warm waters halt.

                I've shown how this is synonymous with a port or a harbor.

                I've also theorized that warm waters halt at the high-water mark.
                This can be found on a ship.
                It's called a Plimsoll mark.
                It indicates how heavy the ship is loaded.
                The heavier the load, the lower the ship sits in the water, and thus, the higher the water on the mark.

                Heavy loads and water high.

                watermark = blaze
                https://www.classicthesaurus.com/watermark/synonyms

                tropical = warm
                https://www.classicthesaurus.com/tropical

                warm waters halt at the 'T'.

                to a tee
                precisely
                absolute
                nailed down

                everybody needs an intersection.

                        You don't need to "preach to the choir", in my opinion.

                            I have very good reason to believe this might have been JB.
                            If you can figure out who he was, you can figure out where he went searching for the treasure.

                            imo.

                            • And BTW, everyone please keep hating on each other and talking smack about other searchers.
                              As long as you're doing that, then you aren't focused on the clues and that gives me a huge advantage.
