I can see clearly now what maybe Mr. Fenn was trying to say.
    Tomorrow is another day!
Tho it is raining now, we just got find those clouds with the silver lining.
I'm not joshin y'all - put on your specs, look closely.
It's like findin a needle in a haystack but with a "devil-may-care" attitude anything is possible.
Send me a signal when you find IT.
PS - watch for the bears.

Wow! That might just be the coolest thing I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing. In another life, I'd be that guy with that job/hobby/life. I wonder if he'd like to trade occupations.

Not posting this headline to be political - just using it as an example of reading things the "Fenn" way.
"Portland man allegedly set dumpster on fire alongside police building with 19 people inside."

How did the 19 people get out of the dumpster....wait .....how did the guy get them into the dumpster to begin with? Oh, I get it...the 19 people must have already been dead. That man really wanted to get caught!

Wait one minute. I finally got it! The 19 people were police people. Ha,ha,ha...19(police people) + 1 (crazed man) = 20 (2020).

Thanks wwwamericana! That was a good laugh. Have a blessed day.

Reminds me of a joke... an old biddy is looking into a dumpster and there‘s a mirror on the bottom... she cries out loud and calls 911: „There‘s a terribly overkilled body in a dumpster!!“
When the cops arrive one of them takes a look, turns around and shouts „Oh my god, it‘s one of our guys!!!“
„It‘s almost impossible to carry the torch of truth through a crowd without singeing somebody‘s beard.“

Any one besides me wondering "what the hell is going on here?"

                  He's is gone.....

"So why is it that I must go
And leave my trove for all to seek?
                  The answer I already know,
I've done it tired, and now I'm weak."

Mr. Fenn faced and fought Death so many times and he had always won the fight.
He was not afraid of dying - he knew he had fought the good fight
and he knew when it was time to relinquish the title.

I'll bring the beer, you bring the tacos, and we'll meet somewhere in the middle. Then we can walk to the edge of the parking lot at the end of the road together. Don't forget your gloves; I'll bring us both a flashlight.
If I could get my feet on the floor out there I would be a lot more content, maybe that's wwwh?

                              ASPEN GOLD

When the aspens turn to gold.
Then my treasure vaults are stored
                              With the riches yet untold
From the lap of Heaven poured:
                              Yellow gold, mellow gold,
I am miser to thy hoard,
                              Aspen gold.
When the aspens turn to gold,
                              I can then defiance fling
At the wealth the sordid hold
Which no spirit pleasures bring :
                              Taunting gold, vaunting gold
But to the thee my heart will sing,
When the aspens turn to gold,
None so rich in all the world,
And my soul is very bold,
With Hope's banners all unfurled :
                              Beaming gold, gleaming gold,
                              Hear Life's challenge proudly hurled.
                              Aspen gold.

When the aspens turn to cold,
                              Poverty I know no more,
Wealth that Croesus had of old
Is my portion o'er and o'er:
                              Clearest gold, dearest gold,
                              Vaster store than Indies bore,
                              Aspen gold.

When the aspens turn to gold
But alas it does not stay.
Soon will come the Winter cold,
                              Summer joys will pass away:
                              Pleasing gold, teasing gold,
Mine but for an Autumn day,
                              Aspen gold.

When the aspens turn to gold,
Let me well the lesson learn.
All earth's glories turn to mould
Even as we for them yearn:
                              Fruitless gold, bootless gold,
Dust to dust too soon to turn,
                              Aspen gold.

When the aspens turn to gold,
Death is riding o'er the vale.
Soon his dread arms will enfold
All my treasures as they fail :
                              Flying gold, dying gold,
                              Ended as a childish tale,
                              Aspen gold.

When the aspens turn to gold,
                              Faith alone can comfort be:
Will the stone away be rolled?
                              Surely thou dost answer me,
                              Teaching gold, preaching gold,
Spring's new life shall follow thee,
                              Aspen gold.
