        The only mention of "scissor" in TTOTC is "scissortail".

        Only thing I can think of is that it was part of the clues...or maybe the blaze?

          What if the story for the finder is a scissor TALE?
          He knew they would be unusable in its basic form. Thats all I feel like saying for now.

              Why use rusty @ss scissors when there was a perfectly good knife? And if you didn’t see the knife then I don’t know what to tell you except that you won’t find it in the forums.
