  • What are you reading/ watching?

Hello All! With everything that is going on in our world right now, anxieties are through the roof and it might be beneficial to switch off and distract yourself with a good book or movie. I am about to start the 1936 movie “The Last of the Mohicans” . How about you? I’m open for some good suggestions

I have a three-book lineup ...... Stephen King - Revival........ Allen W. Eckert - A Sorrow in Our Heart , The Life Of Tecumseh ...... Larry MC Murtry - In Sorrows River.
Sorry Douglas Preston but I have none of your books sitting around I haven't read already, but if you would like to send me a couple I will put them in the pile.

We are rewatching -yes, quite old school- Star Trek Deep Space Nine! I loved Homeland, too!

Great movies for long afternoons and evenings:

                      Inherent Vice
                      Magnolia
                      Twelve Monkeys
                      Wild at Heart
                      Citizen Kane
Top Secret and everything else from Zucker/Abrahams/Zucker
                      Raising Arizona
Six Feet Under (one of the greatest final ever)
                      Angel Heart
                      The Wall

                      Good reads:
                      Elementary Particles (Michel Houellebecq)
                      Map and Territory (Michel Houellebecq)
                      World‘s End (T. C. Boyle)
                      Butcher‘s Crossing (John Williams)
                      Choke (Chuck Palahniuk)
                      Fight Club (Chuck Palahniuk)

That should be enough for the next week of lockdown!

„It‘s almost impossible to carry the torch of truth through a crowd without singeing somebody‘s beard.“

So you equate historical facts with aliens ?

History repeats itself when it is not understood .
