This is exactly what we need.
we need ideas for industrial use of polypropylene- in all forms. We need yardage. Like mass scale.
most of these come from China- so who in America would have massive amounts and in what sector or industries?

Works but manufactured in China and it’s not possible to scoop up us supplies and cut apart- but yes this is exactly what we need.

Weedblock fabric is in season and probably available in huge quantities. Comes in wide range of thickness, etc. Lowe’s and Home Depot, but their suppliers would have it too. Heck I have hundreds of feet of it. It’s everywhere right now due to landscape season.

              They can breath thru it?
maybe even like a painters suit?

They are not strong enough for our layers of filtration
also the nurses do not like the wire that pokes them.
the paper clip is folded up but still retains the rounded parts- so the face does not get poked.
                  hard to explain

What about cheesecloth? Very common, comes in different layers and thicknesses.

Armature/picture wire might do it, if not light duty.

A form of Polypropylene is used for carpets/rugs. Typically outdoor types. Not sure if its the right kind, though. In my home state (GA) there's lots of carpet mills still operating.

im working with doctors in LA to prototype handmade masks with a “filter”.
The material we have thought about are these:
(many of searchers are smart and many of you lurkers are smarter.)
I have scientists in la and Beijing who will start particulate testing this week but if y’all know of any large scale applications and or/ household applications for what I’m mentioned please tell me.
all of these could be layered with cotton to help in a medical profession once we are out of masks.
yes- ICU are already out- I’ve seen the pleas and it’s terrifying

what we are looking for are called nonwoven polypropylene microfiber that is spunbond...
what we need and what n95 masks are made of is called Meltblown. The entire world cannot get meltblown- two manufacturer’s 3M and Berry Global are trying to buy and make the machines to make the fabric. But you know of any other applications that nonwoven materials are used in us manufacturing- we need yardage- we have a production sewing facility La to start once the testing is done. Thanks so much-

                              industrial fryer filters
                              nonwoven landscaping cloth
                              coffee filters
                              light filtering window shade
                              shop towels- blue kind
                              embroidery stabilizer
                              interfacing
                              air intake vent filter
                              merv rated filter paper
                              whatman filter paper
swiffer floor wipe- electrostatic is a huge bonus -
                              Oil soak pads/rolls ....
are made of melt blown...should be massive amounts of it in warehouses in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana.

Don't wait for gov-corp, use something washable like 2 bandannas at a time.
