  • Yellowstone National Park Announces changes to services

News Release: Yellowstone National Park is announcing modifications to operations to implement the latest guidance from the White House, Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), and local and state authorities to promote social distancing. The park evaluated areas of potential risk of exposure to COVID-19. Based on this analysis, effective immediately, the park will temporarily close the Albright Visitor Center and Boiling River soaking/swimming area (which usually closes due to high water in the spring) until further notice.

"Yellowstone National Park Lodges Closed From Friday, March 20 – Thursday, May 21, 2020
These are unprecedented times with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The health and safety of our guests and employees are our top priorities. We have been closely monitoring the guidance and recommendations of public health agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) as well as federal, state, and local governments. Given the current recommendations to close bars and restaurants and limit gatherings, we have made the difficult decision to suspend our operations beginning Friday, March 20 at 12:00 pm local time. The temporary closure is anticipated to last through May 21, 2020. We regret that this situation has resulted in the necessity to cancel all lodging, campsites, dining and tour reservations for stays from March 20 – May 21. "
