Do you know of any road closures from Covid-19 or otherwise that might affect a search?

It seems NM has shut down all overnight camping in their state parks.

Movement of US citizens is a freedom protected by law..... Prevention of movement is paramount to slavery and freedom of movement is guaranteed by the Constitution which has its roots in the Articles of Confederation which were adopted by the Continental Congress in 1777.... You cannot stop me without just cause nor can you search my personal property.

Let's see how this plays out.. My vision is check points for fever and such but that is it...

Interesting, if true. I have not verified but would not be surprised as our state (New Mexico) declared a state of emergency for funding, etc.

I wonder if this will end up affecting Fennboree in July at Hyde Memorial State Park. We will keep our fingers crossed that the virus is over or has been totally contained by then.

Yes...overnight camping shut down because the (long name) coronaninjavirus moves stealthily under the shadow of darkness.

Some have referred to it as the coronavampirus.

Thank you for the update, Kpro.

Cynthia - here's a link to this update:

              In my opinion.

most likely would only restrict travel around hotspot infection locations...like new rochelle and such.

If you took a road trip now, you'd have the cheapest gas and emptiest areas in years. The problem would be finding one well-stocked store and buying everything there, and not even thinking you'd have another chance at that for awhile.

The two ski resorts in Gallatin County Montana have been closed down for what would likely be the rest of the season and it appears that all other Ski Resorts in Montana will be following suit soon as well. Colorado has already shut down all their ski resorts as I understand as well.

You might be surprised. RVs are swarming to find open areas after closures in certain states.

Thanks, Covert, for posting the link. As of now, it says overnight camping will resume early April. Forrest once said he tried to think of "everything" when he hid the treasure chest and created this Chase! I bet he never considered a pandemic, with no toilet paper in sight! Or did he..... "So why is it that I must go And "leave" my trove for all to seek?" Thank goodness, many of us BOTG Fenn treasure hunters don't need no stinkin' toilet paper. We can use leaves... or your search partner's scarf!

                          I live in Kansas.

Kansas Dept. of Health and Environment issued this yesterday: "KDHE is now recommending 14-day home quarantine for Kansans who have visited Eagle, Summit, Pitkin and Gunnison counties in Colorado within the past week.
