Race is on but it looks like Colorado will barricade its borders first. I think in 30 days Colorado will be under Marshal Law and by May all of the Rocky Mountains will be on lock down.

it’s like the Stand, except less fatal and discriminatory. As I recall, Captain Trips blatantly discriminated against “good people.” LS might need to pull a Stu Redman/Tom Cullen and m-o-o-n, that spells git er dun.

IMO, If this were 9 months after an election vs 9 months until...COVID-19 would be no big deal. Something to take seriously, of course, but not to the way over-extreme MSM and Democrats have gone.

"....So far, the new coronavirus has led to more than 100,000 illnesses and more than 3,000 deaths worldwide. But that's nothing compared with the flu, also called influenza. In the U.S. alone, the flu has caused an estimated 34 million illnesses, 350,000 hospitalizations and 20,000 deaths this season, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)..."

So I guess it'll be fine.

It's nothing to mess with. They don't lock down countries in a typical flue year. The Case Fatality Rate (CFR) for this is optimistically 0.6% (per South Korea) to 1 or 2%. Unfortunately for places like Wuhan and Italy, 10 to 20% of cases are serious and if it spreads enough, you overwhelm the healthcare system. Quarantine is the only option at that point. They are already rationing healthcare in Italy - triage. Then the CFR goes up because people don't get the care they need.

Exponential growth can suddenly overwhelm. All the cancelations, travel bans, etc. are going to help.

Hey, I'm wondering... do you think USA will do better than other countries through this?
socialism? Oh sir, I do not try to politicize the crisis...
Time will tell. But I have a prediction: the damn thing won't kill many at all compared to flu, it's just that when this really hits in a few weeks, maybe even a week, the US economy crashing will bring down the world. Just a guess. Dude, I'd hate to even go into how bad I think our country will do without medicine being as socialized as the military and bank, housing (and now) oil bailouts.
politically, I'm lately feeling beyond pointing blame. Pretty sure everyone will graduate from that soon.
