Interesting to note; where are the fishing reports on Thor? With Memorial day fast approaching I thought there would be a thread with current fishing conditions and reports on some of the 'Big' rivers in the Rockies. The Yellowstone, Madison, Arkansas, Colorado and Rio to name a few. Afterall, Forrest would have loved to see and hear about the 'Whoppers' caught and released.
Here's a little true story that happened near Yellowstone on the Madison during a Fenn event. I was fishing with my friends son, we were fishing big hoppers with small wet droppers. The boy was fishing about 50 yards down stream of me when I lost my dropper. About 5 minutes later the boy yelled at me to come down. When I got there he held up his fly and much to our amazement his hook had hooked my lost fly through the eye. We sat there together with mouths agape pondering the impossible odds of such an event. I know Forrest would have loved this story which brings about a certain sadness knowing that we where never able to relay it. In spirit, somehow, I would like to think he is listening.

Beautiful Story! I’m taking my kids outdoors to the mountains on Memorial Day! Lessons will be taught on starting a fire and putting it out properly. Finding their bearing by the stars and sun and of course…how to hook a good one! The metal detector is coming too! We’re going to explore some old fort sites here in Arizona…I’m excited for them!

"Some of our strangest actions are also our most deeply characteristic: secret desires remain weak fantasies unless they pervade a will strong enough to carry them out."
