You know, One Horse Open Sleigh reminds me of TTOTC publishing company One Horse Land and Cattle Company. Is that why it is named that way? Is that a hint for us to look for some of f's bronze crotals along the path??

Hmmm....probably 'sounded' better if I kept that thought to myself.

Forrests "One Horse" in the race, " Land And Cattle Co"
or is it "One Horse Land And Cattle Co Ltd" there was two different names he had.

So if he was to write this poem as a 13 year old, would you interpret it differently?

Read the poem once again and imagine the words and thoughts of a 13 year old Forrest Fenn.

Actually, though the context of the paragraph may cause one to infer "age 13", Forrest actually wrote, "my mind stays at about thirteen."

Pulling this sentence out of context, now ask "thirteen what?"

Definitely a good point. Thirteen what.
My mind is running away with that thot.
Thank you for adjusting my thinking.

                Bar Mitzvah!
Miles up in the air he flew, He just murmured, Toodle-oo!

Is it too early for a hotdog?
If there's any justice to be had, may you relish in it.

                      O

To tell the truth, I hate relish but.....
I do spread those buns wide open, grab a knife and lay on the mustard.
Oh and don't forget the halopina's.

Kids are much, much more observant than adults. I remember watching a show on this topic. They were showing a grocery store that had a walkway up high in the store for a security guard who would look down and monitor shoppers for shoplifting. The security guys were saying that adults never noticed they were there but most young kids did.

As we get older, our awareness shifts away from the world around us.

Because in 1943 was when he learned about the place he hid indulgence.

Forrest was 13 in 1943. Call it a guess if you want to but anyone that is as mature as Forrest yet insists his mind is at age 13 must conclude it has to do with favorite memories.
