How Many Eggs are in a Dozen?

    Exactly 12.

    But there are also:

    11 eggs in every dozen
    10 eggs in every dozen
    9 eggs in every dozen
    8 eggs in every dozen
    7 eggs in every dozen
    6 eggs in every dozen
    5 eggs in every dozen
    4 eggs in every dozen
    3 eggs in every dozen
    2 eggs in every dozen
    1 egg in every dozen

So how is it not true to say there are 9 eggs in a dozen eggs when a dozen eggs must include at least 9 eggs?

    Which egg are you?

Eggsceptional analysis. I wonder if this could unscramble or crack the mystery.

So could you also then say that there are a total of 78 eggs in a dozen?
Just another way of looking at it.

No, a dozen is limited to 12 items, unless it is at the express lane at the grocery store.

Would I be wrong to say there are 9 eggs in a carton that contains a dozen eggs?

Not cheaper by the dozen, if you own those chickens. LOL

Great point Mike , it’s all in the wording and interpretation. For me, I am the 13th in the Bakers dozen.

One thing we learned from Forrest, nothing is what is seems and needs further clarification. Are you talking about a traditional dozen or a Baker's Dozen?

I'm glad you put this out there! Equally to task would be to question exactly how close were the 200 ft and 500 ft searchers..... All could have been 125 feet or something along those lines!!
                            Coinaster,
I'm not Lurker Mike but I thought I'd reply to your post anyway.
I also thought that within 200 ft could mean anything less than 200 until I found this quote on tarryscant.com:
"I don't know that anyone has been closer than 200 feet and I don't think they have"
It's from the On the Road with Charlie interview dated May 8, 2017.
By "anyone" does he mean any person or does he mean any searcher? I'd like to hear what others think about this quote.

I'd like to know why he apparently refuses to give an update on how close anyone has been in the last few years.

I wonder if it's because it would be more telling to the LS if they haven't broken the boundary than if they have.
