    Resurrecting an old thread...

    Essential Forrest Fenn
    ---------------------------
    How do we know we are not Gods?
    Is it just a matter of waking up?
    When a bugle is blowing, for no rewards
    We step into battles, we won't wait up.

    Under wooden crosses, not worrying about ourselves
    Way past the point of no return
    We are building a bright future
    It is the United States turn.

    To keep your karma on straight
    Do you know who to believe?
    The way us alphas deal with fate
    We happy for winners, for fallen we grieve.

    Are you still with me?
    I always like to be exact
    There will be just one nominee
    The first who had my poem cracked.

    Who said, I can't influence the future?
    I predict it will have a happy ending
    It's one or the other Yazzi doll...
    The final outcome is still pending.

    The Nobody I Knew. The Nobody I knew lived deep inside of you, and you hid himself so well. So impish and untrusted, if only you could have adjusted, but you held that special thing inside I knew you'd never tell. I could see him right through you, as I tried to bring him out. But, you kept him locked inside causing him to rage about. Finally, out he came and experienced something new, but you pushed him back inside thinking he wasn't right for you. So I escaped your world and his world too, but since then I can't stop thinking about YOU. And every now and then when I see you off and on, I can't help wondering if it's still there inside or if it's completely gone. But, if someday you should let him live outside, if you ever can, I will love that nobody I knew once more again. *I wrote this when I was 15

      Wanted socks for Christmas a certain hue..
      A delightful color they call Alice blue.
      Now I sit here with a tear in my beer.
      Think to myself, well perhaps next year.

      Miles up in the air he flew, He just murmured, Toodle-oo!
      Righty-O!

        A man on a tightrope,
        a man with a belt;
        a man with a purpose,
        just walking it out.

        Blue green stones
        in his buckle did lie,
        to speak of his resting place
        and where he would die.

        Behind the shanty
        and under the tree,
        watching and waiting
        alone will he be.

        Till the sun rises above
        and the stars below shall set;
        no more should we tarry,
        no more will he fret.

        And with his spread feathered wings,
        he will take to the sky;
        to soar forever
        o'er the mountain tops high.

            Creede

            by Cy Warman
            Here's a land where all are equal—
            Of high or lowly birth—
            A land where men make millions,
            Dug from the dreary earth.
            Here the meek and mild-eyed burro
            On mineral mountains feed—
            It's day all day, in the day-time,
            And there is no night in Creede.

            The cliffs are solid silver,
            With wond'rous wealth untold;
            And the beds of running rivers
            Are lined with glittering gold.
            While the world is filled with sorrow,
            And hearts must break and bleed—
            It's day all day in the day-time,
            And there is no night in Creede.

              Sorry, I whacked it.
              There were more and more details about my solves embedded in the poems, that I posted in that thread. As I progressed in my quest, I weaved facts into the poems, that people, who search in the same area, could recognize. Out of 70 poems, that I wrote so far, the majority was there.
              I realized, if I publish a few more, that would be a complete solution for anyone to deconstruct.

              I am not saying that it is a correct solution...

                flaming halo

                up upon my shoulders,
                sitting there like twins,
                the devil and his nemesis,
                hashing out my sins,
                a battle for my soul,
                that rages icy cold within.

                  shoes carved from ice

                  i slipped on my slippers,
                  no pun intended.

                  the doctors just told me,
                  it'll be six weeks till mended.

                  i said it's too long,
                  i called it bologna.

                  he told me next time,
                  to drive a zamboni.

                      I’m very unlucky.
                      So, don’t try to convince me that
                      I am a lucky person
                      Because at the end of the day
                      The chest is so far away.
                      And I am not going to lie to myself by saying
                      That I am the lead searcher
                      So rest assured I will remind myself
                      That I am the unluckiest person
                      And nothing you say will make me believe
                      I deserve the treasure
                      Because no matter what
                      I am not lucky enough to be rich
                      I’m in no position to believe that
                      Luckiness exist in me
                      Because whenever I look at the poem, I always think
                      Am I as unlucky as people say?

                        I ride my bike through the woods, everyday to go mining,
                        Never knowing what's around the corner, much like the kid in The Shining,
                        I cram a lot of words into things, especially thinking and talking to myself,
                        As I ponder my mental, spiritual and physical health.

                        I seek a thing - I don't know what it is,
                        I tell people it's treasure, but more like the thrill of a quiz.
                        I run with artists, psychos, musicians and especially hoarders,
                        And we're rather apathetic about preaching law and order.

                        If you're strange out here, you'll fit right in,
                        I'm never sure if it comes natural or that the oxygen's thin,
                        So back to my thoughts, where an ultimate band plays,
                        And heckling wood elves keep pushing the 5-Leaf Blaze.
                        Questing song:

                          Scrawled on the eve of the first day of my first job following graduation...

                          Growing up
                          As dusk arrives and nighttime nears,
                          I stare out my window, pondering my place.
                          Seeing my friend of many years
                          brings a rush of feelings; a smile to my face.

                          Always there when I was young,
                          imagination at work - a child at play:
                          Jolly Roger, scourge of the Seven Seas;
                          alien spacecraft crash landed on the hill;
                          fort on the edge of the great frontier;
                          you meant so much to me.
                          In my mind and in my dreams,
                          as close a friend as you could be.

                          But seasons do pass and life brings change,
                          Time for me to go find my way;
                          Your life is rooted, my path’s so strange;
                          Daylight’s approach - new kinds of play.

                          A smile gives way to tears and whispered sighs;
                          As I age, I’m saddened that you’ll see,
                          now, looking through my grown-up eyes,
                          You’ve become nothing more than just a tree.

                          Peace,

                          Orion, the Hunter

                            A long time ago, when I was a little kid; I would put my shoes on backwards. I'd put my left shoe on first, but I only knew it wasn't right by the awkward look of disappointment on my fathers face. He would always tell me to try it over again no matter how long it took me to tie my shoes, because there had to be room for improvement under the penalty of circumstance. Frankly, I would stop mixing up my shoes as I got older but part of me wants to do it again when no one is watching, just so I can have that feeling of dissatisfaction again. At night when I'm tired and ready to nestle in bed, I'll kick off my shoes and lean back on the headboard and begin to dream of a time when happiness was just a thing of the past.

                              No pressure though really, he can be done writing

                              We know we have more than we actually need
