How much snow is too much snow? Can the chest be found during winter? If the snow has melted off the chest can the finder see it?

Nope. If there’s an inch of snow u won’t find the chest cause you won’t be able to see the ground.

YES - if you know where you are going, then you should be able to go right straight to it.
      Or so I have heard.

I know up here in my neck of the wood, it's hard to turn and see the icey rock that covers the chest. The finder will need to wait until the chest it wet not frozen lol. Not to mention the height some lucky searcher will need to realize. The highter they get the colder they will get. I think I will just stay put and keep a eye out, till the spring thaw melts most all the snow off.

I love to see searchers searching in their search area! Snow or no show, that's how I see it. The Lead Searcher better have keep his game on. Even thru the winter months somebody has to the blaze going. I believe no one has found it, and it will be some time before searchers can dive back into BOTG. https://youtu.be/Zs6xxFtKcrk

There's still time in the lower but what for? bundle up and rest for 7 months. Just sleep 10 hours eat healthy and go to the gym, and hunt online of course, i just ordered some swamp snowdrop, take some of that, you'll find some cool stuff. Galantamine or fly to guatemala and hang out.

I think if you knew where you were going EXACTLY, then I think maybe you could go in some snow. Only f knows the 10"x10" spot. Those with limited time and resources don't have the ability to keep going BOTG 10 times a year and may want to make those 1-2 times count. If that is the case, waiting til spring may make more sense.

I’ll be back to get it- won’t be long. Third time is the charm. This time I’ll get a receipt.

I will go back as soon as I’m confident again. Rain or shine. Winter or Summer. Weekend or workday. In fact, I’m hoping for snow, bc that will mean it didn’t take all winter to put the pieces together.

Snow allows those who "know" where the chest is to be unconcerned about those who don't.
