        Catch 22
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Hey check it out... proof he reads the blogs: he put the date he wrote it. Today. I've seen so much asking of Dal whether Forrest is in real time.
22 lead searchers, Silver is closest to the ground. Yup..

I confirmed that there was a chili cook-off today, in case anyone is wondering. I didn't like call the church or anything....but I thought about it and guilt overcame me.

John Standridge-(Stand on Ridge), from Kerrville (careful).

I had a thought. There is a possibility that someone has everything solved but they are going the wrong way. What if the blaze can only be seen from a very specific vantage point. Maybe a face in the rock or something cool like that....but you can't see it unless the angle is correct. So it would be very easy to walk by it. Don't take the short-cut, walk the entirety of the poem.

It's scrapbooks like these that make me crazy because I just can't figure out what is meant to stand out. I can say one thing.....there is going to be a whole lot of tooting in Santa Fe tonight.

                      Interesting.

"...has always taken me there and brought me back. We’re a team..."
Perhaps someone has sent photos of the special spot to Forrest - taking him there and bringing him back in time as he recalls his own memories of this special place.

Twenty-two may not be the number of Lead Searchers but the number of locations presented to Forrest that he has considered to be worthy of consideration in the Chase. Tabasco may be a reference to hints that he sprinkles around.

The kid contest won by Zoro.
Kid contest may refer to the Chase. Zoro may refer to an unidentified (masked) person who is before us but not known to us as the Hunter/Lead Searcher. Zoro spelled with only one "r". Could be a typo or could mean One R Zorro >>> Zorro is one unidentified person among us.

Again, I would defer to Roll Tide for this one.

                      Peace,

                      Orion the Hunter

I would say if Fenn tasted 22 different types of chili....
He will most definitely have a “gut feeling” by la manana.
Since I swore an oath to not email him, a blog suggestion would be; take a Pepcid and call me in the morning. Ha ha

Any chance this is related to p 194 TFTW where he talks about the very hot green chili elk stew?

The 1952 cook-off was the brainchild of Joe E. Cooper as a way to advertise his new book With or Without Beans. The contest was a success with 55 contestants trying for the first prize. Mrs. F.G. Ventura of Dallas was crowned the winner. Cooper died a couple of months later and never saw his book become a best seller. With or Without Beans is now considered the authority on chili history and lore. It is the book all the chili authors refer to.
