  • The Greek Word For Treasure

I took out my trusty E-Sword software and looked up the word Treasure.
There was many Hebrew words translated as treasure including the word Chosen H2633
But in the New Testament the primary word translated as Treasure was Greek word Thesaurus G2344

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thesaurus

" The main purpose of such reference works is for users "to find the word, or words, by which [an] idea may be most fitly and aptly expressed," quoting Peter Mark Roget, author of Roget's Thesaurus "

" Although including synonyms, a thesaurus should not be taken as a complete list of all the synonyms for a particular word. The entries are also designed for drawing distinctions between similar words and assisting in choosing exactly the right word. Unlike a dictionary, a thesaurus entry does not give the definition of words "

Forrest has said he does not use words like other people do.
So should the Thesaurus be the "Chosen" "Treasury" of words when trying to solve the poem ?

I think we should be careful around "chest", as it may be a sensitive subject . . . ooh, did I really say that?

The words are important, and treasures = thesaurus is among the reasons I hammer away at the words and phrases in the poem.

Well I must say, it's a pleasure to learn a new thing. I didn't know treasure and thesaurus were synonymous. I always thought that treasures referred to the brand of fountain pen, with a bold nib.
