    • Armadillo eyes have rods but no cones.
Probably a good thing.. with claws like those they might accidentally scratch their eyes out...

Interesting that Obsidian Lake has those 3 sharp claws too. And the unnamed creek that flows off of it to the north, just happens to make the profile of a dead guy who lost his hat across the Gardner river....

      • Recap-
So... I came up with the armadillo solution after noticing the armadillo is in a duel with the cross-dressing Oompa Loompa (Tim Burton influence). As one interpretation of the word Indulgence (eye in duel g, nc- north, or no right hand, Carolina- see a rolling a... armadillo) just so happens there's an armadillo shape north of the wall.

Before that... noticed trees/ shapes on the map line up with the Oompa Loompa.... one interpretation of Indulgence, chocolate.

Discovered that after drawing a half mile circle around the put in spot/ parking lot and the blaze (horses nose, Ralph Lauren influence). Another interpretation of Indulgence, I in the eulogy

It's the lure in the fishes mouth an Alpha omega symbol... or the Looking Glass through which things converge.

Before that, noticed the 2 round spots on the map, like bicycle tires, or round glasses ( Roosevelt, Great Gatsby, Elton John influences). The eye of which has some most incredible measurements to locations Fenn has mentioned in his stories.

Click image for larger version Name:	20181015_160748.jpg Views:	0 Size:	107.6 KB ID:	107915
All of this found by going through the poem over and over again..
Though originally started in Gardiner Montana, Mammoth made a good home of Brown. Sheepeater cliffs, no place for the meek. End of the horses nose the blaze. The genius is it leads you in a big U turn along the river then north at the bend in the river and back to just north of where you parked. It took over 10 trips to figure this out... because many spots could have been the end depending on how you read the poem.

            • From that same eye...
Exactly 109 miles to the top of Table mountain

and the start of the Missouri river

and 25 miles exactly to a mentioned intersection in West Yellowstone (the power of a quarter)

and exactly 1 mile from the bridge over the Gardner river to the Blaze (end of the horses nose)

and from the probable end spot (eye of the armadillo), to the West entrance to the park exactly 24 miles

and... I gotta get something to eat...

Things don't line up like this without help, is what I'm getting at, nor do trees usually grow in a straight line etc. I'm just trying to persuade someone to take an educated look, and share.. as I have.
              Be back soon.

              • By road, 8.2 miles from the home of Brown (Mammoth) to no place for the meek (sheepeater cliffs).

Perhaps when Forrest said 'get back in the box'... it was more literal. The artwork on the map is over a mile wide, as shown and believe there's a large cat at the north end of it making it over a mile tall. That's probably a record for landscape art especially with trees..

                just part of the map~

                • Geologically, without human structure, Mammoth still makes a good home of Brown...
The hot springs there look like ice and snow, but are anything but cold.

                      • Why would Willy Wonka order his minion to fight the pocket dinosaur? Do they eat them? Is that what chocolate is made of? Or everlasting gobstoppers??!

I may not eat candy for awhile. Pacifists usually have the best defenses- definitely the most perseverant evolution; I respect them. Weird they would live in such a beautiful area that gets so freezing though. You’d think they’d learn to migrate or hibernate or something to survive. There Has to be a trade off. Maybe that area has delectably nutritious insects- like magic water bears that don’t die.
I think I just figured out how the gobstoppers everlast.

I'm not sure why exactly there's a duel between the Oompa and the Armadillo... my guess is it was a combination of factors. The measurements, the trees that survived the fire in '88, the beautiful stretch of river there and the word Indulgence. Throw in Tim Burton and Forrest being from Texas, it all makes perfect sense to a Mad Hatter I reckon.
It's all Texas turkey and road pizza to me...

It has been my understanding Fenn often hides clues within words or phrases but not like many would consider.
for instance 'banana' could be broken down to baa-nay-nay, or sheep no no, etc. (works well for the Sheepeater Cliff area).

So using that same way of thinking....
"Look at the big picture. "
first smoosh it all together- lookatthebigpicture
then look for a hidden message, forget about spelling but pay attention to common abrivations.
also consider letters as hyrogliphs or teepee art.
Such as 'H' could mean high as it looks like a wrung on a ladder or 'oo' could mean to see, as it looks like a set of eyes, or O could mean around, and a "l" could be a 1, or L could be a corner, c to see etc.

                              so one interpretation of "lookatthebigpicture"
could be- 1 see ,or low cat he be eye g pie see to ray
