Off to go searching for the chest,
Hiking the teeth of the Rockies.
On my brush a bucket of Crest,
    Scrubbing through all the cavities.

Hooking a left, and then a right,
    And back around rocks expanded.
Google Earth made me look so bright,
    Going back home empty-handed

        Who is who and what is what;
I thought I knew but my door was shut.
The seeds he planted, I hope shall sprout.
What is this just all about?
        With love and care and his green thumb;
it's food for thought - his harvest will come.

          Winter is coming -
          my garden sleeps.
This year I transplanted some young saplings I found on my walks - hoping they survive Winter's fury.

I thought the other day as the last of my tomatoes froze.
If I was a pioneer, I could starve. Canning the ticket.

Haven't written on here in a while but was feeling a bit of nostalgia coming on.

Ya know........ I spent alot of time with my Grandparents and I miss them so much.
After every meal, Grandma would scrape together the leftovers, go to the back screendoor, open it and toss the scraps out the back.
She had the most beautiful garden.

Grandma (her name was Lillie), also pieced together the most wonderful quilts.
She saved up scraps of material, nothing was too old or frayed to use, and all through the winters, she sewed these scraps together.
Those quilts kept me warm on many a cold night.
Now, as winter approaches, I get one of her quilts out and as it warms me once again, I hear her voice.

What have we gotten out of all of this?

                  Voice your own opinion,
                  sing your own song,
                  write your own story.

                  Season it with thyme
                  and color it with life.

No voice is too small to be heard.
                  IMHO.

                    Taters and beans
                    nothing as it seems
                    they are ready to pick
                    A basketful does the trick
                    There's enough for everyone
Plants in the garden are lots of fun.

Just heavy loads and water high - bedded down and sleeping thru the winter.
Awaiting the warmth of a new Spring.

I see a lot of leaves growing in the garden, and the front lawn..
Miles up in the air he flew, He just murmured, Toodle-oo!
                              Righty-O! Thanks, for everything.
