So I discovered “hashtags” translate to words, but only sometimes.

Ok. In another post reply in the FF forum the above “hashtags” translated to “Visitor Messages”, “Holocene”, and “Web Cams” all as links. Interesting that here in the ‘Off Topic’ area I get different results. The Holocene link above takes one to a KPro thread by same name.
Mystery solved. Easy way to link to prior threads, but hella annoying from a UI standpoint.
I long for the days when an octothorpe was just an octothorpe.
