So how's this? Sam Walton was well known for flying everywhere to check on his stores: Old Pilot- check. Daughter named Alice (Check). Son named John(check) who was a Green Beret(check) and served in Laos(check); who later died in a plane crash(check). We were talking about Bacon (Louis Moore too); and incidentally Sam Walton's middle name was also Moore (check). Alice Through the Looking Glass is really about Chess. Check and...
Your posts always shed new light on a variety of subjects. They often make me question my own solve, though. lol
I do want to check into things, regardless. It's so fascinating.
The Fenn Chase has led to many things in history and literature in all its forms. Very fascinating, and that's what I love about it.
I once was led to the Egyptian hieroglyphs, which caused enough curiosity for me to look good at the. A few weeks later I went to a museum with some family, and saw something that I don't remember what it was, but had hieroglyphs on. I was actually able to understand part of what it said (but not the overall meaning), and that was quite a moment for me.

You should have a look at the IX monogram. (Iesus X's initials in Latin). It was an early form of what later became known as the Chi-Rho, or Christogram. The WM logo is an exact replica. We discussed Hieroglyphs and Egypt, and Chi Rho and Cairo are perfect homonyms. Just a curiosity.

The motif, and the closely associated "lozenge" motif are incredibly old: they are present at Gobekli Tepe. I read a book called Uriel's Machine on the topic and you may find that book interesting. Eventually you are led to the idea of catastrophism, and the idea that the efforts of the ancients to create these awesome structures as long cycle calendars was to warn future generations of a periodic catastrophe that occurred at a predictable interval. In the event that knowledge (and people) was wiped out during this conflagration, the structures themselves were so incredible as to both survive, and inspire wonder in successor generations that may come to study them, and therefore reacquire the lost sciences necessary to build them.

Steven Jay Gould argued punctuated equilibrium against random mutation against Darwin (by proxy) and won (imho). Punctuated equilibrium is a nice way of saying "everything's fine for a long time and natural selection dominates, and then all of a sudden, it's not, and it doesn't" All species are forced to adapt the new global environment which is sudden, unexpected and catastrophic. In this case, chaos, not gradualism, shapes and gives rise to new equilibria where Darwinian forces again prevail. I would suggest with evidence that we occasionally get hit by something big from outer space, and more infrequently, we face an ELE: an Extinction Level Event. AFAIK, the last biggie was about 12,000 years BP. There are many credible scientists that suggest a large bolide(s) landing in the ocean could have been a cause in the sudden retreat of the glaciers at the same time. Woolly Mammoths couldn't adapt. Died out. Sabertooth Tigers, Dire Wolves, etc etc. Oral and written accounts from all over the world record the "memory" of a great flood. Well, after the glaciers retreated, from 12kBP to present, the worldwide sea level increased by 150 feet. Flood myth? Flood Fact.

      Back to the puzzle,

Tinker tailor soldier sailor, was originally a divination counting game used by girls to foretell their future husband. In a strangely satisfying way, we now have David John Moore Cornwell's whispered presence lurking in the ghost light of the UU. DJ MC in the house. I noticed we have six spokes on our WalMart Christogram, and we also playing the Six Degrees of Separation game. Sheriff Wm has shown that by linking these related clues from the SB's (which are numbered, btw) we create this heiroglyphic asterism on the terrestrial map centered near Taos. The hieroglyphic is that of Sirius, aka Canis Major, The Big Dog, the Scorcher, Baal Hammon, Khepri etc. In essence: a famous Star that absolutely everybody knows, and is known by (at least 6) different names depending on the venue or era he's playing.

I see a possible link. For example, if Walton is a contender for "Rich Man" in the Poem, we would place a POI at Bentonville AR, the origin of his fame. Somehow we find another Walton, like Bill Walton, who started out at UCLA with John Wooden, the origin of his fame. Are there 6 Waltons? Are we guided by the professions in the rhyme, and we just checked off two out of six? Do you know any spies named Walton? Does this get us anywhere?

Hopefully this all comes together in a sensible way. Ideas?

            Please explain. Date with Maggie?
I must admit I hold out hopes for an enhanced interrogation someday by an actress that played the iron lady, and also Scully in the X files (there is a Scully Mt in my search area that keeps that torch lit)
Regarding other Maggies, I no longer want to work on her farm (Dylan)
Also like Rod's (Stewart's) song about Milf Maggie (May).
I already discussed the date for (Mary) Mag is 7/22.
Peggy (Margaret) Sue (Buddy Holly) got married.
Margaret could also be Molly which rhymes with Holly. (Molly Holly? Good Golly!)
            Marry the clues:
Didn't Forrest Fenn marry a Peggy Jean Proctor? Gotta be Margaret on the Birth Certificate, Amirite?

            So that's 6.

Good News about that bustle in your Hedgerow. Keep your eye on the sky 4/8/2024. That'll get your line leyed. A good spring clean for the May Queen. As I was saying before, the Earth is a reflection of the sky. As above, so below. This eclipse goes all the way through the Cygnus constellation (aka The Northern Cross) from top to bottom. It's uncanny, really, but I suspect we'll hear some buzz about it before too long.

Peggy also called Forrest's car the BULLET, let's not forget that.

Why? Because it was sh . . .

Don't go telling anybody I showed you this stuff. I tried to align the globes to superimpose the "as above, so below" image. Aquila, the Eagle, is Mexico. The Lyre is the Rockies. Cygnus goes from Denver at the beak, to Maine and Canada at the tail feathers. The constellation right below Cygnus is called Vulpecula and it extends from Arkansas to Georgia. It means "The Fox", and guess what? It's right in the middle of the summer triangle. Sagitta (The Arrow) points right to it. Most people forget that there is a constellation called "the Arrow", and in this case, it points to a fox. Coincidental?

Anyway, superimpose that eclipse in 24. See how it seems to trace the main axis of Cygnus exactly? Weird. Also, Cygnus is the top of summer triangle (aka the capstone). Remember the Searchers, with the Duke? Look (Beulah Archuletta) was named for the Cygnus constellation in Navajo, and they saw the same group of stars as a swan (and other birds like heron and geese that have that profile) in flight. It looks like a cross. And we were just talking about Jimmy Page, which calls to mind for me Swan Song records and its iconic label, perhaps reflecting back on some of these celestial and mythical themes that seem to be present in the chase. Certainly something for everybody.

I was a high school teacher in a Latino neighborhood. All the way through high school the threat of the chancla from mom served as a massive deterrent to misbehavior and helped me to avoid unnecessary confrontation. They heard from the Soccer and Baseball teams that my Spanish was pretty good, so if I said I was going to call your mom- I would. Occasionally I'd get a kid who was new and would act up and say something like "what are you gonna do?" You could hear the collective gasp down the hall. The other boys did the hard work for me, because they'd all start saying, "Oh snap, Bro, you're gonna get lit up by La Chancla! You better start running now." Then the kid would be like, "Wait, up, mister. OK. You got me. I'm sorry. Yo voy a arreglarme." So I rarely actually had to make a call.

La Chancla is a house slipper worn by a Latina mother. Una Chancleta is more like a flip flop. It's like a laser-guided missile of shame and guilt from which there is no escape, ever. There's never a hiding place. If you are actually injured by la Chancla, you will get the Vicks Vapo Rub on it and told to calla te tu boca. In the 50's at Los Alamos and Dulce, they captured an actual chancla whose guidance system somehow went awry, and it crash landed at White Sands while the Duke was filming. They reverse engineered it by using captured footwear they had on hand from the hausfrau and babushkas. Still, to this day, the threat of the genuine, thrown-by-mom Chancla or Chancleta (by any name) reigns the supreme threat against puerile, teen-aged misbehavior in households and schools throughout the world.

My mom is English and Irish and had slipper-like shoes she wore, I was too young to know what they were called but they hurt. The worse part was when you had to bring them to her, lets face it moms could hit a moving target so it was best to take it and get it over with. When f wrote about having to choose the size of the stick for his switching, I was reminded of the choice of what shoes to bring her. I remember the souls were hard but the tops were soft, you can guess what side she used. That being said she knew she could do no damage with those shoes. For every paddling I got I earned 10 I never got.

I get that most of us were ‘switched’ in some way or another, but I’m so against this practice of violence towards (especially) children. Most of the people responding to this will argue “didn’t hurt me- straightened me out when I was bad”, and only a tiny fraction of Those will Ever question authority- or the gospel stuffed into their brain as “Truth” that must be “obeyed and worshipped” because our owners tell us that’s the way it is.

I’ve kinda given’ up caring because it’s an infinite pit, and trying to make a difference, because there’s no scaling possible for assistance. The ‘bought-souled congress and judicial branch’ makes sure of this.

Where to turn? It’s all corrupt. All public figures have sold their soul. A piece of forest land costs a gazillion dollars. To hide without base camp? Sounds logical but unviable long term. So what? Where to go for peace? Anyone else want to work towards a joint farm somewhere? A piece of land whose taxes paid by interest from a trust? Where people can just survive without petty games of ‘pretending to obey some or other master of the day’ told to us by corrupt news outlets?
