Do you know if the hints will be available to those that are not within the broadcast range? As in, will they also be releasing the hints via a website?
And is this something that must be retreived? So if you don't live in the area, it's not worth trying to solve unless you partner up with someone.
I looked over the clues today. A lot of the clues seem to point to where the treasure IS NOT. Other than eliminating hiding places, I don't see much purpose in this.
Also, I wonder if anyone could list the hiding places of past years. There is a map on line, but I would find a list to be more useful.
I had heard the start is impossible and the hints get you closer, then it is a huge foot race in the end. I never knew for sure, just know a few who have been a part.
Ineresting comments as you have good perspective. Are you still doing the MWs ones?

From what I can gather, the clues are released in sets of 4, and these 4 clues seem to be related, and form one larger clue. Many of these seem to be street/road names, where it is "NOT". I haven't looked at a map, but I wonder if any of these streets form a "square" or "rectangle" or some other shape that can be eliminated from the map. Other clues eliminate communities and neighborhoods.
One major clue tells us that the treasure, or the rock, is in Clark County.
The rock is to be placed on the 15th. With the clues being what I will call "negative", meaning telling us where the treasure is not located, I don't expect anyone to be able to figure out the location as of the 15th.
If clues after the 15th are more specific, I can imagine it might be like you described, one big foot race! Not a very good design, if you ask me.
But I'll keep following this hunt for now, to see how it plays out. I am near Pittsburgh, and have no chance of getting this since it is in Las Vegas. But it is interesting to see how it is designed. So far, I feel like because it is done with a radio show, it has garnered lots of advertising, and $$$ from the ads. So that is why it has been dragged out so long with all of these "non clues". It is just more advertising time. So once all of the advertising time is done, the REAL CLUES will start to come out.
Kpro, you asked about the MW hunts...if I plan to continue doing them....Of course I do! They are fun! They are inexpensive! They are solved rather quickly. (As opposed to being dragged out for years and years.) And I personally know there is a definite prize once solved! Jenny will have a new one later this month.
GB, great contributions! Would love to get MW included in our discussions if you would like. You seem to crack the MW ones within minutes. I bought in the bulk option and didnt even get to look at the scroll by the time I got home from work before you solved them...... The 12 plate ones seem to be on hold this year and no longer goin on. Same originator as the Cowboy (which I think you cracked as well). I enjoyed 12th plate, disappointed they are not continuing.
